MAC Cheeky Bugger Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Cheeky Bugger Blush
MAC Cheeky Bugger Blush ($22.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “peach brown [with a Satin finish].” It’s a light-medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a satin finish–it kind of reminded me of strawberry milk (and I mean that in a good way, truly). Chanel Sakura (87) (LE, $43.00) is lighter, more matte. Hourglass Radiant Magenta (P, $35.00) is warmer. NARS Love (LE, $29.00) is darker. Urban Decay Overexposed (LE) is lighter. Physicians Formula Natural (P, $11.99) is more shimmery, darker. NYX Mauve (P, $5.00) is less warm-toned, more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The texture was soft, finely-milled, and smooth, so it was easy to apply to the cheeks and blend away the edges for even, smooth color. It had good color payoff that could be applied with more true-to-pan color or more lightly for a sheerer look. As a note, the blush darkened on the skin, compared to the way it looked in the pan, and as I worked through the top layer, it looked more like it does swatched as it did in the pan. It’s a shade I would recommend to fairer complexions; on medium skin tones (which mine is), it just barely shows up due to the light-medium nature of the color itself (not a pigmentation issue). If you’re looking for a subtle, every day blush, it would still work well on medium complexions, but it’s a shade that may not show up well on deeper complexions. The color wore well for almost eight hours before gradually fading away.

Yay!!
Same here. I like to emphaseyes my eyes (pun intended).
I LOVE this! <3
Happy you like it, Lotus!
It is really pretty!
It is!
This is the only thing from Kelly’s collection I’m interested in. A nice, wearable color!
Woohoo! Glad you like it!
Oh this is absolutely beautiful!
Will it be something you’ll pick up, Honi?
It is beautiful, but I think this color has been seen before, I think I’ll wait for sharon ‘ s blush review, that one got my attention from the beginning.
It’s definitely similar to other blushes!
I am super excited!! Do you think there going to have waiting line online like Rihanna Collection?
No idea! 🙁
I like this one! Looks like it would go well with my coloring (NC15, hazel eyes auburn hair). I love warm pinks!
Maybe this is the only thing I will get from Kelly’s collection.
BTW, what is the red lipstick you are wearing in those pics? Looks gorgeous!
Hi Veronica!
It’s posted at the end of the post (after the last photo) – here you go!
THE MAKEUP LOOK
On face: Make Up For Ever Lift Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Loose Finishing Powder, Chantecaille Brilliance. On lips: MAC Roxo Lipstick.
Duh! Didn’t see it. 🙂
No worries, it’s easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there so I try to point it out for future reference while answering! 🙂
Can a WOC wear this (NC45)?
I don’t think it’ll show up much at all 🙁 It is pretty subtle on me, and I am NC25.
Ok, I’ll pass then. Thanks Christine
Yes a wearable satin finish blush with awesome packaging and name. Fingers cross I can order online in time for this one.
I hope you can snag one!
Love it! Yes please.
Looks like a perfect everyday blush
Yay!
I love ‘natural’ blushes like these. This is a definite possibility to add to the monster blush stash!
They can be very easy to wear!
That is very close to the Chanel. I think any skin tone could wear this with a light hand.
It is close to Chanel’s!
Very pretty!
Glad ya liked it!
Oh, that’s super cute!! If anything, I might pick this up! 😀
Hope you enjoy it, if you do!
How does this compare to Benefit’s Dandelion? I love subtle baby pink blushes! It looks so pretty!
Dandelion is lighter!
Very pretty! I like this sort of shade for natural days.
It would be nice on your complexion!
I LOVE THIS. Just as much as the original press release made me think I would.
Yay!
I think this is the only thing that’s catching my eye in this collection– this is a very pretty! I think it would make a good everyday blush.
I think it would!
Very nice! 🙂 Looks really wearable for every day looks.
It would be for sure!
Definitely a must have for me!
Enjoy, Summer!
It’s a really pretty blush!
It is!
I love the colour, the packaging, and especially the name! This is a must have for me!
Woohoo! Hope you love it when you get it, Lauren!
What a gorgeous blush for fair skin like mine!
Totally agree! 🙂
I think this can be the perfect color for the 2 minute makeup days.
It is very easy to apply and wear!
This is a really pretty blush, and I love the name! ^_^ I have the same qualms about the packaging as I mentioned on the Skinfinish post, but I do love the naming for this set!
Ahh, well, at least the innards are nice 😉
When does this come out !?!?! 🙂
June 2nd online, June 12th in-stores
It sounds sad that I like it mostly for the packaging, but the colour looks great too! I am so excited for this collection!
Then it’s a total winner – packaging and color! 🙂
Christine,
How does this compare to MAC ‘s Pink Cult? I’ve been looking for something similar since it’s LE.
Pink Cult is cool-toned and grayer!
would rosy outlook from mac be a dupe? looks similar in my mind.
Rosy Outlook is sheerer, more muted!
Looks good on you Christine. 🙂
Thanks, Nikki!
I was skeptical when I saw the color description first but then I saw the product photo and did a double take. But this is the kind of blush I love!
Yay for surprises 🙂
Oooh I really like this…do you know how it compares to MAC Stunner that came out last year?
Stunner is way more shimmery!
Very pretty color! Love it, wish I could have it but I’m pretty sure it won’t hit stores in my country :'( too bad!
Aww 🙁
I’m thinking this may be something that would really work for me… it’s reminding me of Supercontinental, (which I CONSTANTLY reach for) not in shade, but in depth of colour and finish… plus Supercontinental is too orange on me once I dip below NC20… hmmm! 😉
Might work for you, then! 🙂
Love it, looks like a great blush for pale skinned ladies 🙂 I’m more excited to see your reviews of Sharon’s line though!
It is for sure!
This is exactly the color I want in a blush for everyday wear. Looks really fresh and subtle, which is the effect I want. Really hope this collection will reach my local store sooner than later 🙂 Thanks Christine for keeping us well informed. Oftentimes I feel I know more about the upcoming collections than the girls at my MAC store, all thanks to your blog :))))
My pleasure, Natalia! xoxo
I love this! Way too many products out of this collection appeal to me, sorry wallet!
Poor wallet!
Okay, THIS I am still in love with. Both happy and sad that post reviews I’ll only be picking up a couple of products from this collection instead of all of them! Happy for my finances, but sad because it all looked so pretty, I didn’t want it to be so disappointing overall.
At least one of you is happy, lol 😉
Ugh! Doesn’t look like this collection is for those of us who are darker. I’m an NC40. But it’s ok I’m still recovering from the alluring aquatic collection. (:
Maybe Peaches & Cream 🙂
I love your website!! It my Go-To for swatches and opinions. But I had a question?? I have alot of blushes and was wondering this color kind of reminds me of Macs in Extra Dimension “at dusk” blush. I was contemplating buying this but if I have a similar color I think ill skip…. what do you think is it similar?? Thanks!! 😉
At Dusk is cool toned and it is more muted 🙂
Well, I had to call NYC Times Square MAC, but I got both blushes, the lip liner and Bijou. BOOM!
YAY!
How is Cheeky Bugger similar to Mac Easy Manner LE? From your pictures they are very similar 🙁 I really love Cheeky Bugger but I won’t a dupe of a blush I already have. What do you think about? If they are too similar, any suggestion for another Mac blush for fair, yellow undertone skin tone ? 🙂 xx
Easy Manner is less warm-toned, more shimmery, lighter! http://www.temptalia.com/submit-dupe?sbs=1&pid=166000&dupe=108814
Will this suit nc42 skin?
Can you recommend any pink mac blushes for my skin tone
I think it may be too light! You might want to try Dame.
