MAC Berry Tricky & Wild Card Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

Berry Tricky
MAC Berry Tricky Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a rich, raspberry base with lighter violet and fuchsia pearl throughout. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied smoothly and evenly across my lips without tugging.
The texture was slightly firmer but not dense or thick, so it was comfortable to apply and to wear without sliding around. It stayed on nicely for five and a half hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly hydrating over time.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and the pigmentation and wear tend to be dependent on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to wear for only a couple of hours and have sheer coverage (as designed) and are non-drying.
Some of the original Matte shades have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a more velvety, silicone-feel to them, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most Matte shades are quite pigmented and long-wearing, though some are drying.
The Amplified and Satin finishes tend to have good pigmentation, lightly creamy to moderately creamy consistencies with a bit of shine, and moderate to long wear with deeper, richer shades wearing longer. The Frost and Metallic finishes have the most variance between shades with coverage ranging from semi-sheer to opaque with average wear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

Wild Card
MAC Wild Card Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium-dark red with cooler, blue undertones and a matte finish. The texture was moderately dense, lightly creamy but more of a velvety feel, as it applied evenly and smoothly but didn’t slide around at all. It delivered full pigmentation in one stroke, which lasted well for six hours, left behind a stain, and was non-drying while worn.

Berry Tricky is so perfect for this type of shade and finish coming from MAC! I say that because they have a tendency to muck up their shimmery/metallic/frosted lipsticks sometimes. But, this one is beautiful!
The berry is lovely ! But I really don’t need that color. So pretty to look at though.
Fabulous lipsticks from MAC – these are sure to be popular shades, particularly the berry one.
Berry Tricky is so pretty, especially for the holidays.
Berry Tricky is a must have for me. It is gorgeous.
I only have a possible dupe, UD Venom and it’s old so I don’t know how much longer it’ll be OK to use. I honestly though I’d have loads of dupes for this, but no.
I love Wild Card and I will consider it, I have Ruby Woo, but find it so drying, even though I love wearing it for the colour. I also have my sadly broken Velvet Ribbon, so this could be a cheaper replacement.
Berry Tricky looks like it would be fun to mix and match with the pearly lipglosses of the collection!
