MAC Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre ($32.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “light cool pink.” It’s a light-medium lavender pink with cool undertones and a satin finish. NARS Roman Holiday (LE, $29.00) is darker, brighter. MAC I’m a Lover (P, $23.50) is brighter. Makeup Geek Head Over Heels (P, $9.99) is more shimmery, brighter. Makeup Geek Secret Admirer (P, $9.99) is brighter. Surratt Beauty Guimauve (P, $32.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Make Up For Ever #210 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is darker, cream. NARS Sex Fantasy (LE, $29.00) is lighter. Milani Delizioso Pink (10) (P, $7.99) is darker, brighter. Givenchy It-Girl Purple (P, $44.00) is pinker. NARS Mistinguette (LE, $29.00) is brighter, lighter. theBalm Down Boy (P, $21.00) is darker. NARS Gaiety (P, $29.00) is brighter. MAC Unconventional (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter. MAC Full of Joy (P, $21.00) is lighter, more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The Blush Ombre formula is supposed to have an “ultrafine formula [that] provides flawless, medium-buildable coverage and natural-looking radiance.” Azalea Blossom is semi-sheer, and I didn’t find the coverage to build any more than that–I could never achieve more than semi-sheer color coverage. The texture was soft, smooth, but thin. It blended well on the skin, and the satin finish gave it a natural finish that wasn’t too shimmery or dewy. Based on the coverage and color itself, it’s a blush best suited for fairer skin tones than mine. For those with similar skin tones or deeper, I’d recommend trying it in-store to see if you like the coverage/subtlety of the color applied. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

This looks really, really pretty! I got Ripe Peach and going back to get this. Pray for me because MAC 2015 collections is going to have me living in a cardboard box, but I’d still look fly… while selling my stuff. 😡

Oopss.. I’m also reviewing this blush today. 🙂 I agree with you, the pigmentation is not phenomenal with this one but I managed to scrape off the hardened top layer and now it swatches and applies so much better. Just adding my two cents in case anyone bought it and wanted to make it work. LOL.

Hmm, for spring, I’ve been experimenting with more cooler toned lavender pinks and need a matching blush. For $35, the pigmentation on this should be more buildable – I think I’m going to check out Makeup Geek Secret Admirer, which is a fraction of the price, permanent, and got an A rating.

That’s the first thing i thought. Gotta finally spring for Secret Admirer… and others. Only have 2 so far, and a Z with MUG blushes would get heavy rotation!

whenever I apply this blush I have to build it up to get any pay off, but then it ends up looking chalky. I was very disappointed when I got it.
