LORAC Limelight Light Source Illuminating Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Limelight
LORAC Limelight Light Source Illuminating Highlighter ($23.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a light, minty green with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It seemed to appear cooler in the pan, but the shimmer itself seemed warmer (like a pale gold) so that it appeared warmer as I blended out the color. The consistency was soft, smooth, and a touch thin, but it applied well to bare skin and blended out with ease. It had a high-shine finish–definitely not a subtle highlighter–but did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. This was a fun highlight to work with, as the aqua hue transformed anything I paired it with. On my normal-to-dry skin, the highlighter wore well for eight hours before fading.

That looks surprisingly nice!
Glad to hear it! 🙂
It’s pretty unusual that I find a highlighter I don’t like, but this one just doesn’t do anything for me. Glad it performs well, though!
Glad you found one to skip!
Ooh, this is actually surprisingly wearable!
I think it is!
Ugh, this is so pretty! I was thinking my Looxi Voodoo would be a dupe, and it is. Money saved, because this was really tempting.
Phew! 🙂
How PRETTY!!! Funny that I can easily pull off a green or blue highlighter ala KVD Alchemist, or even this, but oddly not purple? Weird, I know. This reminds me of the minty highlight that JS put out last year. Never bought it because: JS is not someone I could or would ever support. So here’s a another, and less morally ambivalent shot at this shade.
Really! Not purple?! I am surprised.
Amethyst seems to have a “cool” white base in it? So it looks very flat on my cheeks (I paired it up with UD Bittersweet), but on my lids over a pale lavender eyeshadow, or other purples, it looks utterly stunning and ethereal!
So pretty! Really want to give this a try!
Awesome!
I love this even more than I did before, now looking at it swatched. ??.
I wish I could easily get Lorac here in Canada!
I wish you could, too 🙁
I like it but it might look weird on me.
Layer it! 🙂
Actually it is quite wearable! It is similar to a very old release from Estee Lauder, a stick illuminator named Minute Makeup in 13 Oyster Shell.
I agree – it was very easy to incorporate with other products!
This looks gorgeous on you! Perhaps it’s the name that through me, but I didn’t expect this to be so wearable.
Thank you!
Surprisingly wearable! I can imagine it would be really fun to wear it on top of different blushes for a unique effect.
Right? It layers well!
I love the idea of a minty green highlighter, but don’t think it will play well with my yellow undertones, will need to swatch in store, hope I don’t look like Kermit!
I hope it works for you, Katherine!
I’m loving this!! Just as I suspected lol
I’m trying to justify buying this since I only use my Moonchild palette every couple of weeks. Hmmm…I don’t need it, but it might be unique enough to say “the heck with it!” and buy it ;D
Glad you liked it, Kim! 🙂
Love this! Pity LORAC is unavailable, but I guess money saved. It’s fun when a product looks prety much unwearable and turn out to be just gorgeous. Well done LORAC!
It was really fun to play with!
Your eyes look amazing in that palette❤️
