I agree! She is so iconic so how could MAC have missed the opportunity for great packaging and a whole collection? I love Betty Book and will still buy it, but it is a let down.

This is kinda pathetic. Only one item (of an exceptionally common color particularly for MAC who releases like 40 red lipsticks a year) and it doesn’t even have special packaging. :/

I am disappointed. I read some comments and agree that this is a huge missed opportunity for MAC. Betty has such a cult following and they could have done something really spectacular in packaging. I don’t need anymore reds so this is a pass for me. I would have purchased if it had been a special color or with different packaging.

I’m disappointed in this release. There isn’t even any special packaging on the bullet. I did see that the lipstick sleeve had a design on it, but that’s still no reason to charge $21 for this when Ruby Woo is $17. MAC just tried it…*major side eye*

I really expected special packaging for this, given how iconic Betty Boop is, and how common red is. I mean, there are a thousand other equally priced reds in varying finishes, formulas and undertones. There doesn’t seem to be much of a marketing drive for this particular lipstick at all, which seems a bit strange. Like why even bother?

The idea of a Betty Boop collection was exciting, but now I think it’s an easy pass.

Omg, two of my favorite things brought together, i’m so excited…and the color is absolutely stunning, my fav red for sure…..<3 thank you for sharing Christine…..love from a Portuguese fan of yours.

COME ONE….. I love Betty Boop and since Mac releases 50 reds per yr I would expect this to have special packaging… agh. Is it a one day only thing?

my real dream would be if this was like a repeat of how Mariah Carey teamed up with MAC, in that one year they release just 1 lipstick in standard packaging (All That Glitters in 2015), and then next year release a full collection with special packaging. I would be all over that, I LOVE Betty Boop. and they could totally make it as cute and cool a collection as Archie’s Girls and Rocky Horror were. But alas, I shan’t be buying this. a red lipstick in plain packaging. no thanks. what a wasted opportunity.

What’s the point? No Betty Boop packaging. It’s only Betty Boop because Mac says it is. There ain’t nothing Bett Boop about it except that it’s red. I have lots of Betty Boop lipsticks in that case
