ColourPop Boyfriend Stealer Pressed Powder Eye Duo Review, Photos, Swatches
Boyfriend Stealer
ColourPop Boyfriend Stealer Pressed Powder Eye Duo ($10.00 for 0.10 oz.) contained a muted, medium pink and a darker, rosy plum (both with warmer undertones). The two shades could be used together, as they created a nice gradient, but I’d likely reach for a darker or lighter shade to add more contrast. This duo is limited edition and part of the brand’s Valentine’s Day collection. Some of the duos are sold out, and I really hope ColourPop will consider releasing the shades individually, at the very least they are on 2/14!
Boyfriend Stealer
LELimited Edition. $10.00.
Dreamboat
Dreamboat is a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had good pigmentation with a smooth, velvety texture that didn’t have fallout or powderiness to it. The eyeshadow adhered well to bare skin and blended out with ease. It started to fade after seven and a half hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Pretty Cruel
Pretty Cruel is a medium-dark pinky plum with warm undertones and a few flecks of gold sparkle over a matte finish. The sparkles did not translate onto the lid, so it performed and looked like a matte eyeshadow in practice. The texture was smooth, soft and blendable without being dusty or powdery. It had rich, opaque color coverage that was easy to work with. On me, the eyeshadow wore nicely for eight hours.

Such a lovely duo.
The colors are nice!
The pigmentation and quality of ColourPop shadows always surprises me lol The duo is a really cute Valentine’s gift idea (or should I say GALentine) =)
They will/would make perfect gifts! I really hope people who ordered when it launched get theirs in time for Valentine’s Day!
“Boyfriend Stealer” SMH where do they come up with these names. Yea let’s have young women buy merchandise that’s named after things that are morally wrong. LOL geezus
Sometimes I wonder if ColourPop picks names out of a hat!
Was thinking the same thing.
Oh, I love this – great shades, fantastic pigmentation and payoff and adorable packaging! I hope they release lots more singles, most of the ones I have already are really wonderful.
The packaging is ridiculously cute and well-done!
Glad this duo did so well! I wanted to wait for your review, but the packaging was just too tempting. I’m so excited that my package with this and the highlighter is getting here today! 🙂
Happy to share! 🙂
Colour Pop is releasing all of the Valentine’s day duo shades as singles tomorrow along with 10 new shades!
That’s great news!
These are beautiful! Lately I’ve been loving the red/pink/orangey eyeshadow colors a bunch, so these are a no brainer. But the other duo I was hoping to get is OOS, so I will have to wait and see if they get that back in stock so I can get free shipping.
Singles arrive today!! 🙂
Oh yay! This was the only duo I ordered. I really liked the colors and don’t have anything like them. Glad they performed well. I was a little worried since the CP powder shadows are getting mixed reviews. Thanks!
Can’t wait for you to get yours, Olivia!
Pretty shades! ID love the second shade as a pretty transition/crease shade ?
It would work well in the crease!
I bought this duo. I like the pairing and the muted quality to both of the colours.
Nice! 🙂
Much better than the last one. I preferred the color on the other ones but these look so much better on the skin.
These did look better on!
These shades pair nicely together!
They do!
This is fairly similar to the last one and I don’t care for the name Pretty Cruel….so unnecessary.
Gotcha!
I really dislike the name of this duo, I wonder who’s the genious coming up with a name like that for a Valentine days duo. Sigh.
I wouldn’t have bought it just because of the name, and I do love both shades. So I’m glad they are releasing them as singles.
I’m thrilled they’re launching them as singles!
