Lisa Eldridge Pink Soap Enlivening Blush Review & Swatches
Pink Soap
Lisa Eldridge Pink Soap Enlivening Blush ($34.00 for 0.5 oz.) is a medium pink with muted, warm undertones and a natural finish. It looked like just-hydrated skin–slight sheen but not wet or glossy–when it dried down. It had sheer, buildable pigmentation, as marketed, when working with a very small amount (that was as recommended by the brand). The texture was smooth, lightweight, and creamy with more density/thickness and less wateriness compared to the other shade I tried in the range.
The blush applied evenly to bare skin as well as over foundation, as it did not lift up base products, and was easy to sheer out for an even layer of product. I could build up color without the initial layer picking up or becoming uneven. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$34.00/0.5 oz. - $68.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be buildable, though the brand advises to use the "tiniest dot" to start with to get a "translucent 'blushing from within' effect." It can be applied and blended out with fingertips or a foundation brush. The finish is described as "natural, skin-like" that isn't "too dewy or too matte."
From the shades I've tested so far, the formula is buildable from semi-sheer to mostly opaque, and it was easy to apply more if necessary. The needle-nose applicator allowed for a lot of control, so one could get closer to the "tiniest" amount as recommended.
The texture was lightweight, moderately emollient, and dried down to a natural to soft matte finish; one shade appeared more semi-matte (though not flat/dry) on my skin and the other was more emollient in the tube and as a result, somewhat dewier on my skin. The product applied evenly patted on bare skin or over foundation with a fingertip and blended out with little effort. They had a tendency to sheer out, which was as marketed, so they were more foolproof to work with.
It was a more transfer-resistant formula, The blush lasted between eight and nine hours on me before showing signs of fading.

Ooooo, yay! I’m so glad I picked up this color! It seems like such a pretty, wearable shade.
Beautiful color on you! It really looks like a lovely formula. I only held off on the blushes because I wanted to learn more about the fragrance involved, which can break me out. Did it seem strong at all to you?
I didn’t notice it!
This shade looks absolutely elegant and refreshing in its subtlety.
That is really pretty!
This is a gorgeous option for my friends who are considerably lighter than me! It’s way too light for me, but I’m not mad at it. Many very light or very deep toned folks have a difficult time finding something beautiful like this.
This would be absolutely perfect for my sister! I might have to get this one for her as a gift next restock.
Glad I ordered this one!
Pink…soap? Cute shade, the name just makes me think there is a reference I’m not getting.
If I recall correctly, it’s in reference to the pink bar of soap she always remembered seeing at her grandmother’s house – I know she goes over the names in her videos for the launch, though!
A very pretty shade, but I admit, the name draws me in more than anything. Makes me think of those old-fashioned pink bath bars. 🙂
I have 5 lipsticks I think from Lisa’s range and when I saw the release alert about this new collection I had to try something. I picked this up as well as the Spirited Away lipstick and I love both. I have so much confidence in the quality of these products even before I purchased knowing that it was coming from the mind of not only a makeup artist and creative director for some of the biggest names in cosmetics but also a makeup lover. This clearly isn’t a ‘cash-grab’. She has put so much thought into every item and I highly recommend everything I’ve tried, to friends. This blush is really natural looking without the horrible sillicon feel you sometimes get from competitors. It’s still smoothing and a great shade that doesn’t break up the foundation underneath! *hurrah*
