What three lipstick shades would you love to create?
Medium-dark ruby red with pearl in a glossier finish that doesn’t get all over your face. A medium-dark, pink-coral base with pink-to-gold shift. Muted, medium-dark rosy mauve with subtle pearl. Really I am just recreating the favorites I’ve lost over the years — Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Laque, Guerlain Gems, and Urban Decay Rebel.
Oh, this is easy and they’re all from Bite Beauty:
Luminous Creme in Musk
Amuse Bouche in Virgo
Luminous Creme in Tangerine/Lingonberry
(Yes, technically that’s four, but the last one was a duo that I loved to layer on top of each other).
Re-creating my favourite lip colours that are either no longer or available or aren’t available in lipstick form (I no longer like liquid lipsticks/most glosses)! Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Thistle, Dior Creme de Gloss in 231, KVD Liquid Lipstick in Sanctuary (not the lipstick colour)
1. I did create one with Bite Beauty. I’s like Becca Sugar and CT Pillow Talk had a baby. So perfectly suited to me.
2. There is a lipstick from Estee Lauder you used to wear quite frequently in images. I spent 15 minutes looking for it on Temptalia and couldn’t find it. I’m not sure if it was DC or if it was simply unavailable in Canada, but I could never find it. It was/is a pinky-peach with a slight gold shimmer if I’m recalling it correctly.
3. A perfect deep berry tone, satin finish, not too red, not too purple.
NAKED TRUTH!
I just did a dupe search for Gems and there it was, also DC 🙁
Gems is also gorgeous! Swoon!
A mustard yellow matte finish liquid lipstick, a bullet satin finish lipstick that’s a dark bronze/metallic brown, a warm toned navy blue that flatters peach skin tones.
A deep, deep rich clotted blood red. I’ve seen fresh blood reds and I’ve seen dried blood reds. I want that thick, juicy, almost blackish – whisper of brown – red of a blood clot. (I get a lot of nosebleeds and you know when you forget to leave it be and you blow your nose and there’s that glob in the tissue? Yeah, gross, but pretty color). A brown-tinged sandy caramel nude. And the perfect blackened bluey teal glitter that magically doesn’t feel horrifyingly dry or cakey on the lips.
1. I’d recreate UD Vice Lipstick in Sheer Rapture, as it’s my favorite MLBB and was discontinued. (No, sheering out regular Rapture myself just isn’t the same, somehow.)
2. A blackened red cream with fine red and fuchsia pearl, in bullet form.
3. A light, grungy green like J* Dirty Money, but with a light pewter pearl or shimmer, in bullet form.
– a soft blue-gray like my pic (Nyx Ultra Dare)
– something like the berry, almost purple-y shade from mixing a tiny bit of navy Fenty Clapback under pink Becca Sorbet, or like the discontinued berry Urban Decay Seismic
– more rosy mauves! Urban Decay needs to stop discontinuing them!
Pretty much like you and almost all the others who have commented above; shades that I love that have been discontinued.
1.) A perfect dupe for PML’s She’s Heaven LuxeTrance. (Seriously though, I’d love to see the entire LuxeTrance line come back!)
2.) A dead-on dupe for MAC Ultimate Lipstick in Marque.
3.) Something that a may actually be able to find somewhere…a perfect cranberry shade that’s lustrous, but not frosty or cool-toned.
I second all of those, Nancy!
I love makeup, but I have zero interest to create it, my creativity on that side is lacking.
But just to play along, I would love to create the perfect my lips but better mauve and brownish-nude lipstick, and the perfect red. Although I found good shades in existing products, none was ideal, I would want a small twitch in all. I never got the feeling “this is the perfect me color” like I found with my burgundy in MAC Diva (if MAC ever discontinues it there will be a war 😅).
I would create lip smoothing , full coverage nudes in various shades that bring life to the face , rather than drain it like some of the pale grayish concealer shades do.
MAC Sophisto (best ever) MAC Viva Glam V & VI
I would love to create:
1. A genuine russet brown with a creamy, hydrating formula (like Lux Lipsticks by CP) and a dewy finish
2. A bold bronzey metallic shade, again in lipstick formula, that is also hydrating to wear.
3.A more muted red shade that won’t turn pink on my lips!
Actually there’s three I’d love to re-create or just have the brand bring them back- coincidentally all by MAC: Hi-Resin Rose Lipglass, Rockit! lipstick (my perfect nude) and Finally Free lipstick.
MAC Rihanna x Viva Glam (the red frost pearl)
MAC Sunset Rose (the brown creme from the Jade Jagger)
MAC Viva Glam IV, V, VI (any one of these)
I am seriously upset with MAC for DC’ing VG IV, V and VI. That was just wrong on their part.
