It’s a new, limited edition powder that’s supposed to provide “natural, healthy-looking color” that “highlights” with a “nondrying, non-dusty formula [that] is long-wearing and color true.” The texture was soft but not as smooth as you’d expect, as it had a fair amount of sparkle/micro-glitter in it, and the baked formula yielded a looser consistency so that powder didn’t bind together as well. Some of the sparkle translates onto the skin, and it is visible sparkle, but a lot of it seems to get lost during application (swept away, trapped in the brush, etc.), which leaves behind a noticeable, more shimmery sheen. On me, it very slightly emphasized pores. The color payoff was semi-opaque, moderately buildable. It lasted for seven hours on me before it started breakdown and look patchy.

Love the shimmer in this one.
Glad you liked it, Rachel!
Sparkle city! Too much for me.
I’m with you, Nicole! I wish it had less sparkle.
It’s a pretty peachy color, but at $42, this needs to score an A
Makes sense to me!
This looks lovely on you Christine! It’s too warm for me but it is pretty. ?
Thanks, Gillian!
I’m going to skip this one. It’s just too similar to one I have by Nyx that I hardly ever use anymore. It does “glow”, but that it emphasised pores somewhat on you, and I have even larger pores? Nope, not for me.
I hear ya! Emphasizing pores is a no-go!
42 bucks for a LM blush?! Lol…
Same price as their other highlighters!
Sephora has one that might be similar, but I forget the name. Secretive or Jubilant or something like that. I like the sparkle in this one – I wish the review was better.
I wish it was better, too!
Pretty, but too shimmery for me.
I totally understand!
Pretty but might be a bit much for me.
That seems to be the general consensus!
I was awaiting your review! When this first came out, I ran over to Nordstrom to get it.. but was just not impressed! Im excited for the new highlights coming out soon!
Oh, that must have been a let down!
Not my kind of color, and too much sparkle for me, too!
It seems like the sparkle is an issue for a lot of readers!
Because of the sparkle it isn’t for me, but I do like the color.
I wish there was less of the larger sparkle!
Gorgeous on you Christine – but you know what? I loved the Covergirl one better.
Thank you, Genevieve!
I wonder if this will be a pretty highlight for darker skin (NC50)
I bet it could be!
I think this looks stunning on you, Christine!
Thank you, Christina!
I love the color and irridecence. I generally get along with Laura Mercier. I also use pore hiding primer. My current favorite is Dr Brandrs primer.
I wonder if your primer would help!
If mixed with a matte transparent finishing powder like MUFE, would it reduce shimmer?
Yes! I find that a smoothing setting powder helps take done shimmer 🙂
Just noticed this product and so disappointed in it. I bought the limited edition baked blush/bronzer ‘Ritual’ last year…It was the biggest regret of my makeup purchase history. I was super naive in thinking price tag = value :/
Oh no! 🙁
