The Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator formula is supposed to give a “translucent wash of luminous color” that can be used all-over or as a highlighter with a powder-cream hybrid texture. Long-time readers will know I have a fondness for this formula, so I was happy to see shade extensions! The biggest “downside” to the formula is that they’re really more pigmented than described, so if you really, really want something barely-there, then I’d say to look elsewhere; otherwise, they’re easy to use as a semi-sheer product or applied at more opaque coverage. To me, the formula would be better described as having medium, buildable coverage. Charming Pink is soft, smooth, and easily blended on the skin. There’s enough shimmer to highlight the skin, but it is just shy of pore-emphasizing-territory. This one lightens and brightens on my skin tone, but it may show a little color on much fairer complexions. It had semi-sheer to mostly opaque color payoff. On my normal-to-dry skin, the color lasted for eight and a half hours before fading.

I’m so happy to see another light pink illuminator, and it’s not talc based! I prefer the cooler toned UD Aura, but if I hadn’t seen that one, I probably would have picked this up, who knows, I still might 😉 It looks lovely on you. 🙂

I don’t know where to buy her products in Canada. They are not sold anywhere. I hope a Canadian fellow can help. It looks really nice on you Christine!!

I love this! I ashtray have two dupes (am loving MAC Pearl Blossom at the mo), so will pass. I do still want this as well though, it’s so pretty!
