Lancome Rose Lancome & Rouge Vintage L'Absolu Rouge Lipsticks Review, Photos, Swatches
Rose Lancome (368)
Lancome Rose Lancome (368) L’Absolu Rouge ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a vibrant, medium-dark raspberry pink with cool, blue undertones and a natural sheen. It had good color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly without dragging on my lips during application. The consistency was lightweight, emollient without being slippery, and comfortable to wear. It stayed on well for six hours, left behind a stain, and was a somewhat hydrating.

Formula Overview
$32.00/0.14 oz. - $228.57 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "hydrating" with "eight-hour" wear that is available in three finishes (sheer, cream, and matte). The cream and matte shades finishes highly pigmented, while the sheer finish is more medium, buildable in coverage.
The texture of the cream finish was lightly creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick, so they applied comfortably, evenly, and were flattering on lips. The matte finish was slightly thicker and "heavier" in comparison, though still lightweight to wear, and it had more of a satin finish initially that wore down to matte after an hour or two. The sheer finish was more emollient and had a shinier finish with translucency but wasn't so sheer that all the shades would look the same on.
The majority of shades did not last eight hours on me, though the wear was more between four and six hours with most mid-depth and deeper shades lasting five to six hours and the lighter shades and sheer finish shades lasting closer to four hours. The formula was hydrating across all three finishes.
There was a noticeable, powdery floral scent that translated slightly into a taste at times. It was a stronger scented product where I smelled it for a few hours into the wear, not just in the tube or when initially applied.

Rose Lancome (368)
LELimited Edition. $32.00.
Rouge Vintage (178)
Lancome Rouge Vintage (178) L’Absolu Rouge ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a rich red with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had good color payoff that applied evenly in a fluid stroke, though the texture seemed to be a little thinner and didn’t sit as flatteringly on my lips as Rose Lancome did. The texture was lightweight, velvety, and easy to work with across my lips. The color wore well for five and a half hours, left a slight stain behind, and was lightly moisturizing.

Oh my gosh, I can’t believe you’re reviewing “my color!” I have way too many lipsticks to say anything is my color, but this is definitely one of my all time favorite Lancome colors and was recommended by one of the counter managers to be the best everyday office color for me. This one makes me look professional and polished, and is a go-to when I need to look my best.
I forgot to say, Rose Lancome is my color.
That shade would really suit you Tammy.
Gorgeous, bright colors! I have dupes, so I’m good.
Ugh part of me wants the pink one because I love the contrast of the pink lipstick/red tube. And I kind of regret passing on the Chanel LEs with the red tubes. But I never wear that color pink. The red one here doesn’t have the same flattering texture.
The Chinese Edition is $32.00 while the same color in normal packaging is $30.00 . I actually have both versions. It’s a great lipstick and I love the packaging and how it opens so much. 🙂
Rouge Vintage is beautiful – what a great shade.
This is my favorite lipstick formula. I’ve worn it for years and I’m rarely disappointed. Nice to see they scored well…and I believe I need Lancome Rose ??
I own 168 – Rose Lancome from a previous release, and it’s always been weird to me how much cooler it is on the lips (or even swatched) than it is in the bullet. I wish it looked like the bullet, on me! Alas, all those blue tones… not super flattering on me, though it’s wearable in the right context.
These colors are both so gorgeous! I’ve never bought Lancome before, but now I’m tempted.
These both look very beautiful and cheery! Rose Lancôme is in that narrow window of deeper cool pinks or fuchsias that I can actually get away with, and are in fact strangely flattering on me. This one is under serious consideration, for sure!
