KIKO 110 Bright Pink Soft Touch Blush

KIKO 110 Bright Pink Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a bright, light-medium cotton candy pink with cool, blue undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff with a soft, smooth texture that wasn’t too powdery or too firm, so it was relatively easy to apply and blend out on the skin. It develops a more natural finish as it is blended on the skin (not matte). The color wore well for eight hours before fading. MAC Bubbles, Please (P, $29.00) is cooler (95% similar). theBalm Down Boy (P, $21.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Anastasia Babe (PiP, ) is cooler (95% similar). Anastasia Spoiled (LE, ) is cooler (95% similar). Tarte Dollface (P, $29.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Make Up For Ever B212 (P, $23.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). ColourPop Swirled (P, $12.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Givenchy It-Girl Purple (P, $44.00) is lighter (90% similar). KIKO 112 Light Plum Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with subtle, cool undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a slightly firmer consistency that made it harder to build-up the color and blend it out easily. It wore for seven and a half hoursr before fading on me. What a bummer this one wasn’t better, as it was one of the more unique shades in the range. NARS Candid (LE, $30.00) is brighter, warmer (90% similar). Makeup Geek Soulmate (P, $10.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Urban Decay Cheap Shot (DC, $26.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). MAC Pink Tea (LE, $24.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Tarte Does This Thing Really Work? (LE, $29.00) is darker (90% similar). Benefit Hervana (P, $29.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). LORAC Chroma (P, $23.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Giorgio Armani Cool Mauve (50) (P, $38.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay TMI (DC, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Cover FX Sweet Mulberry (Left) (PiP, ) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay NOHO (DC, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | KIKO Soft Touch Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is supposed to be a “radiant and highly pigmented blush” with “long lasting colour.” It’s a powder blush that has a thinner, fairly smooth, blendable texture that ranges from semi-opaque to mostly opaque coverage. Most shades are matte to satin with the more matte shades still having a natural-looking finish to them (not flat or dry-looking applied). The wear has varied from six to eight hours depending on the shade.

Per readers comments, it appears these have been discontinued in some countries, though all shades except one appear to be available on the U.S. website. (It’s hard to tell if they’re just on sale, as they’re presently available for $3.90 a pop instead of $12, or if they are discounted to move, as I have seen KIKO do 30-50% off before.) I wasn’t intending to review these back-to-back but will be doing my best to get reviews out quickly in light of seeming to be discontinued. Readers have said the replacement is the Shade Fusion Trio Blush (which I haven’t tried, so I don’t know anything about), which would sure be a bummer, since it is more expensive and a trio of shades, so it is different enough that it doesn’t seem like a true replacement to me (boo!).

Bummer about Light Plum’s performance! I think it would be a good color for me… but I definitely need blendability 🙁 Bright Pink seems a bit too cotton-candy-ish for me. Thanks for the reviews! They’re very helpful 🙂

I couldn’t resist Kiko Dark Rose blush any longer, was worried it was getting DC’d, so I put in my first Kiko order last night. And to get free shipping, I threw in a mix of their bestselling shadows to try ( cream shadow stick, water shadow, and metallic shine shadows), hope they hold up on my oily lids. I was eyeing Light Plum blush too, but glad I skipped.
