Kat Von D A-Go-Go, Jeffree, Outlaw Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Kat Von D A-Go-Go Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
Kat Von D A-Go-Go Everlasting Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright orange-red.” It’s a bold, brightened, neon orange with warm, red undertones and an ultra-matte finish. It’s insanely bright, and it seemed to make my entire face appear warmer/redder. It’s also intensely pigmented with little product needed for full coverage. The texture begins as a liquid and then dries down to a completely matte finish that doesn’t really budge until broken down by oil. There’s just enough time to apply and smooth out the color before it dries down. It was still going strong after eight hours, but it is somewhat drying over time. MAC Tomango (LE, $16.00) is darker, more muted, glossier. MAC Neon Orange (LE, $16.00) is darker, glossier. Illamasqua Flare (P, $24.00) is darker. NARS Iberico (LE, $25.00) is darker, more muted. Kat Von D Jeffree Everlasting Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is described as a “hot pink.” It’s a medium pink with warm undertones and an ultra-matte finish. It had good color coverage, and the texture applied with even, smooth color, but it seemed to dry down more “harshly” in a sense, as it emphasized the texture of my lips, while most shades in this formula have made my lips appear smoother. It was still mostly intact after eight hours of wear, and it started to feel drying after four hours of wear. NARS Natalie (P, $32.00) is darker, glossier. Kat Von D L’Ecole des Femmes (P, $21.00) is warmer. Anastasia Sweet Talker (P, $20.00) is darker, cooler. Kat Von D Berlin (P, $19.00) is darker, brighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Kat Von D Outlaw Everlasting Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is described as a “brick red.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark red with subtle, neutral-to-warm undertones and an ultra-matte finish. It had rich color payoff that went on smoothly and evenly without a fuss. It dries down quickly but you have enough time to work with the product to get clean, crisp lines. The color was still going strong after eight hours, but it began to feel drying after four and a half hours of wear. Make Up For Ever #43 (P, $19.00) is darker, glossier. Tom Ford Beauty Ruby Rush (07) (P, $50.00) is cooler, glossier. Anastasia American Doll (P, $20.00) is cooler. MAC Kinky (LE, $16.00) is glossier. MAC Opera (LE, $16.00) is cooler, glossier. Kat Von D Hexagram (P, $21.00) is darker. Kat Von D Underage Red (P, $19.00) is warmer. NARS Mysterious Red (LE, $25.00) is cooler. MAC RiRi Woo (LE, $16.00) is cooler, lower quality. NARS Cruella (P, $25.00) is darker, more muted. MAC Ruby Woo (P, $16.00) is cooler. Illamasqua Maneater (P, $24.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

A-Go-Go is WOW! Amazing! on you, Christine! <3
It’s so bold!
I picked up A Go Go tonight!
I actually JUST picked up Jeffree (jumping on the matte lips bandwagon a little late and have been pleasantly surprised with KVD’s stuff…never had any until the Sephora 1000pt rewards) and have to give props to the staying power. I wanted a pink-leaning coral for summer and lasting power is a huge factor for me, as well as how it fades. Both the Studded Kiss and the liquid lipsticks have been really impressive and the price point isn’t bad at all.
They do wear really long and well! It’s not horribly drying (I find the Studded Kiss range to be more drying on average), though obviously not the MOST comfortable formula in that capacity.
WOW! Outlaw looks like the PERFECT red for you! Honestly can’t believe how flattering that is! *pops it on my wishlist* I’ve been really please with how consistent the formula for these has been. I have Berlin and L.U.V. and they’re some of my go-to brights!
So glad you’re loving the formula, Lydia!
A-Go-Go is insanely pretty on you. I can’t wait to buy it. I think it’s going to look fabulous on my NC 42 skin. I love such bright neon colours. OCC Harlot is another favorite.
It is going to be BEAUTIFUL! on you, Sonia!
I love orange lip colors, but when I tried A Go Go omg it was NEON. It’s so difficult to pull off, so I am jealous of anyone who can.
It is a very, very bright orange!
Same here – I like orange, but not on me! 🙁
I almost literally drooled when I saw A-Go-Go. It’s so perfect for summer!
It’s such a ridiculously bright color!
I’m fine with “ridiculously bright,” but not if it’s orange! 🙁
Outlaw is oh-so-purdy! I have Lolita and wasnt wowed by it ..AT ALL, but an A on all of these….the formula must be different now..more forgiving hopefully!I’ll have to check them out!! I kind of think i NEED Outlaw lol
I haven’t tried Lolita, so no idea if that one is a bit different.
Wooooo! A-Go-Go is practically neon. I love it. It might make my teeth look yellow, but would anyone notice? 😉 Jeffree and Outlaw are both beautiful shades as well.
It’s insanely bright! 😉
I am so happy to see A-go-go get an A even though I already know how great it is lol. My HG summer orange, the only one that really looks orange on me (rather than just a warm red). I cannot stop raving about it! Given how drying ultra matte liquids usually are I found A-go-go surprisingly comfortable to wear and never felt like my lips were drier after taking it off. Though I did find that it stood up poorly to eating/drinking the first time I wore it. It turned into flakes at the center of my lips and fell off. But the next time I wore it I allowed it to set for longer and used a much thinner application and it was almost flawless through dinner.
I love to use my OCC lip tar brush to take product off the applicator, gives a more even look with less effort and less product (since $20 for that tube -is- pushing my budget a bit).
The key is definitely letting these liquid formulas set! It’s one of the less drying liquid lipstick formulas I’ve tried as well!
Love Outlaw! It’s one of my favorite reds! This line has to be the most comfortable liquid lipstick ever. A Go-go is super bright! You pull it off well!
It’s definitely one of the easier formulas to wear!
Outlaw is really the only one of these I could see myself wearing successfully.
A-Go-Go is just too orange for me, and Jeffree is too muted.
Wow – it seems like *everyone* is jumping on the liquid lipstick bandwagon!
I wonder how long this trend will last.
I think KVD was one of the first, at least 🙂 Well, in recent times.
I think as far as liquid lipsticks go, KVD managed to hit a home run. I have a few of her other shades and honestly I have worn them maybe a time or two and wrote them off until warmer weather. This review is serving as a reminder to bust them out and give them another chance. Maybe I will try a brighter color for summer if I can handle the texture this time. But, I am one of those who is welcoming the resurgence of the gloss and satin lip because a super-matte lip every day is not doable for me!
They are really good! Long-wearing, pigmented, more comfortable than most formulas.
A go-go is A MAZ-ing!! 😉
It is!
I got the shade Bauhau5 because of how gorgeous it was on you, Christine, and I love it! Looks like I may just need a couple more!
So glad you loved Bauhau5!
I got Jeffree and Outlaw the day after the VIB sale in person And the formula is just perfect compare to LA girls, Sephora’s and Rimmels.
They need more shades!!!
PS: Is Jeffree named after Jeffree Star? It’s kind of serendipitous that he was came out with matte lippies and his shade is my favorite out of the Kat Von D line…..
I really have no idea if it is named after Jeffree Star! Hm..
The spelling made me wonder and the two know each other. lol
Jeffree on me look much darker, but still saturated with my fair skin. Love it!
Yup, it’s named after him. 😀
I’m not a big fan of ultra-matte bright lippies, but if I was lost in the woods, I want to be wearing A Go-Go because the searchers will see me from miles away ! It reminds me of those construction cones you see on the highway 🙂
LOL!
Amazing shades! Orange is so hard to wear but you’re rockin’ it. Love all three shades, but A-Go-Go is so modern. Love it on you, Christine
Aw, thanks Allison!
Jeffree looks amazing on you in that face shot! Makes me want to buy it.
Thank you, Mes!
Christine, your skin is INCREDIBLE!
Thanks, Nik!
Ouch! These look painful for me!
I can understand that!
Ugh! I’d be puckered and peeling in seconds! How can these be safe?
I thought I didn’t need A-Go-Go (I already have the other two) but these swatches have me leaning towards trying it out now! I’ve never seen such a bright orange before. :O
It’s crazy bright!
I have Outlaw, and I really love it. Definitely flattering on me, and stays for hours. I will keep buying these, but then I really love the liquid matte lipstick like this product.
I like the idea, but I find I like a creamier formula overall (as a personal preference).
I have Outlaw from the Give me More Lip Sephora Kit and it looks different on my complexion – much much warmer! The formula is really matte and long lasting but I find it a touch drying.
Yeah, this formula is definitely a little drying 🙁 Not the worst, but it’s not hydrating!
Though I love the matte trend, it can be tough to keep those lines crisp and neat, especially with the short amount of time one has to work with the lipstick before it dries down. Jeffree and Outlaw are my faves here! I haven’t yet invested in any KVD products, though I do have an interest in these and her eyeshadow palettes.
I feel like you get a good amount of time to work with these, but it’s not TOO long! 🙂
A-go-go look sooo good on you!!! 😮
Thanks, Jessy!
Oh wow, these look FIERCE! The colors really pop right off the screen, whew!
They’re bold!
Wow those are matte! I’m always willing to try anything from KVD – love her stuff for the most part. 🙂
I like how she comes out with more unique shades!
I want Everasting!
Omg A Go Go looks so amazing!! I have to try it
Yay!
How do these act when you eat with them on? I have the Me 2 Generation ones and they break down pretty quickly with food.
They last quite well through eating/drinking, but it will depend on what you’re eating — oil will break down pretty much all makeup, so if you’re eating fried chicken, you know… not going to last as well as say… baked chicken.
Hi! I just had a quick question – which formula did you find better – Kat Von D or Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick? I just got Pure Hollywood and I’m not super impressed with how it looks…
Anastasia’s formula is my least favorite.
thanks for such a fast reply! I love that your review is so honest.
I purchased American Doll and Pure Hollywood. After trying Pure Hollywood this morning, I felt it was not spectacular… I’ve heard that the darker formulas work better…
Thanks again!
American Doll was better for me than Pure Hollywood!
I found the formula of this lipstick comparable to maybelline superstay 24 hr. Its comparable that it dries a bit to a finish that wont budge or transfer. Im drinking out of a cup right now and i see no red marks. Cant wait to kiss test this on my bf!
Nice!!
I have outlaw but i find it not very good looking on me cause it turns brassy brown red after it dries, maybe if i didnt put on too much? I would like a nicer cooler bright red like a dupe of ruby woo
KVD doesn’t really have a really cool-toned red like Ruby Woo in the liquid formula!
I got it in outlaw and in some light it looks more brown (nc15). Maybe i am just accustomed to the bright red of macs ruby woo? And this is waaaaay better than maybellines superstay, which flakes and peels off. I admit that if you mess up applying this, itll take forever trying to fix it cause it smears all over so youd have to be quick to correct it, and gets over everything if you touch it and gets all over stuff you touched.
Ruby Woo is super blue-based, so that could be why!
Wish there was more product. I usually do two coats and this lasts me like 3 weeks. After that I have to start putting it in a cup of hot water to melt it off the sides to get more
