Jouer St. Tropez Lip Topper & Pamplemousse Lip Creme Reviews, Photos, Swatches
St. Tropez
Jouer St. Tropez Lip Topper ($16.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a sheer base with fine pink and silver pearl and larger pink flecks of glitter. The consistency was thin with a fair amount of slip–it felt a little oily (and it is advertised as being “with coconut oil”)–but the glitter and shimmer spread evenly across the lips, which I always find to be key in a sheerer, shimmery gloss. I could feel some of the sparkly bits on the lips. The Lip Topper formula can be used alone or over a lip product, and it is designed to be a sheerer product. It was sheerer than Tan Lines but like a warmer, pinker version of Frost Bite. This shade wore well for three hours on its own and was hydrating.
P.S. — DermStore has the new Jouer summer collection and currently has a 20% off code (MDSALE20, which works sitewide) for Memorial Day weekend 🙂

Pamplemousse
Jouer Pamplemousse Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a medium, rosy copper with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to lips. It dried down a transfer-proof finish, but it emphasized my lip lines slightly. On me, the color stayed on for five and a half hours and was non-drying.

I love shades like Pamplemousse but I always find myself wishing they were *just slightly* less metallic – I feel like it would make them more wearable and forgiving on the lips
You might find some of the dupes slightly more up your alley as the metallic sheen (that’s also more matte) made it harder to dupe well!
While I love how this lip combo looks on you, I will probably go for dupes only because a drydown metallic would probably not be so flattering on me.
Do have to say, though, that this whole FOTD looks gloriously perfect on you!
Thank you, Nancy! 🙂
Both of these are definitely on my radar!
Yay!
I think Colour Pop’s My Jam is a dupe of Pamplemousse… hard to say for sure though.
That’s a gloss, right?
Wow, these are SO gorgeous ! Very on trend with the metallic lips. Oh and I caved, got the Jouer Skinny Dip shadow palette –I’m blaming it on you, your eye looks were too alluring for me to resist
Thanks, Katherine!
Not a lip gloss fan at all, but I really love these shades – gorgeous makeup look too Christine.
Thank you so much, Genevieve!
I have been loving Jouer lip cremes! The lip toppers have the added benefit of creating completely different lip looks with every brank of liquid lip of tried them with Gerard, Huda, etc. I always snap up each new release on these lip toppers because they add so much fun tp my extensive liquid lip collection. Thanks for your thoughtful review! (and yes I do wear them alone as well!
Glad you’re enjoying the Lip Toppers!
St. Tropez and Pamplemousse combo is beautiful! I have a question about the lip topper, does it stay shiny like a gloss? or does it dry down to a matte sparkly finish? The photos look quite glossy? I’ve had these items in my basket for 2 weeks now not sure whether to get them.
The Lip Topper does not dry down – it is shiny on purpose.
Hm… Unless they have changed the colour I believe the pamplemousse liquid lipstick has been around as part of the original colour line up for the jouer liquid lipsticks. At least I have an old one with that name and judging from the pictures the same colour… So is it now a limited edition? Or is the colour different?
It sounded like it was brought back – not that it was new – but rereleased.
Both of these are gorgeous, but I’m especially impressed with how evenly the shimmer spreads out with St. Tropez. Nothing ruins a pretty topper like uneven patches of glitter on your lips!
Pamplemousse is super dreamy! I want it!
It is a fun shade!
