JD Glow Pastel Iridescence Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Viola
JD Glow Viola Shimmer Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a light-medium lavender with cooler undertones and a pink-to-violet shifting finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that was more prone to sheering out. The consistency was soft, blendable but slightly powdery and thinner than most of the brand’s eyeshadows. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$7.50/0.095 oz. - $78.95 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" with a "built in primer." The texture was creamier, smooth, and more emollient without being too thick or too firmly pressed into the pan, so while it was denser and not at all powdery, I had no trouble picking up product with a dry brush. Using a wet brush or fingertip to apply helped to minimize slight to light fallout that was more typical with dry brush application.
The pigmentation was semi-opaque to opaque with good adhesion to bare skin, and the powders blended out well along the edges. Some of the more sparkly shades had light fallout when blended or the sparkles dispersed a bit more readily, so precision placement was harder. They wore between eight and nine hours on me before fading or lightly creasing.
The one thing to note, though, is that they had a heavy, sweet, fruity scent that I could detect periodically through the day. The empty palette I placed all of the eyeshadows in practically bursts with scent when I open.

Sky
JD Glow Sky Shimmer Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a light blue with strong, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It was less metallic than most of the brand’s shimmer eyeshadows. The texture was soft, slightly powdery, and a touch thicker, but it applied evenly and blended out well while still yielding mostly opaque coverage. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Jade
JD Glow Jade Shimmer Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a very light, aqua base with shimmer that shifted from warmer gold to soft green paired with a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a soft, smooth consistency that wasn’t quite as emollient as most of the brand’s shimmers (though certainly not dry or powdery!). It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Jade is a real STUNNER! The rest don’t quite get my pulse racing. Jade is another story!
I hope no one falls in love with Viola or Jade because they already look to be discontinued. However, I can vouch for how gorgeous Sky is on the eyes, and it’s still available!
Aren’t these just gorgeous shades? I don’t normally like pastel hues, but the metallic finish on these makes them so pretty. Rose Goals is my favourite, although I do have quite a few dupes….
I must say I find all of these pretty. I also have to say my purchase of BH Foil Eyes 1 and 2 wasn’t a bad purchase, the palettes seem to have quite a lot of good dupes in them, and they are still nice to work with.
Out of the reviewed shades in this post I like Jade the best, Sky is a beauty and I wish Viola had been a bit better. But as I said, BH.
