Huda Beauty Nude Rich Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Nude Rich
Huda Beauty Nude Rich Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette ($27.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a new, travel-friendly neutral palette that features five matte eyeshadows and four shimmery eyeshadows. This is one of three “Nude” palettes that is designed to complement darker skin tones in particular.
The mattes performed well with a couple shades being slightly powdery but not to the point that it became really problematic, while the shimmers were good except for #4, which I felt was a bit thin and firmly-pressed in the pan so it was stiffer to work with.

Nude Rich #1
Nude Rich #1 is a dusty, brownish-coral with a matte finish. I’d classify it as more of a “coral” because of the warmth and lightness than a brown. It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, lightly powdery texture that was blendable and easy to work with.
I didn’t have issues with fallout, and while it blended out well along the edges, it didn’t sheer out too readily. It stayed on nicely for eight hours on me before fading visibly.

Nude Rich #2
Nude Rich #2 is a bright, peachy copper with strong, warm undertones and flecks of gold and pink sparkle over a metallic finish. The texture was well-balanced between creamy, more silicone-heavy, and thick without being too densely-packed into the pan that it became difficult to pick up or to apply.
The creaminess and thickness ensured that the larger sparkles combined with the base color for excellent adhesion and minimized fallout. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer that wore well for eight and a half hours with very little fallout over time.

Nude Rich #3
Nude Rich #3 is a deep, reddish-copper with warm undertones and a metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that applied evenly and smoothly. It picked up easily with a brush but could alos be further intensified by applying with fingertips or a dampened brush. The color lasted well for eight and a half hours before creasing faintly on me.

Nude Rich #4
Nude Rich #4 is a medium, reddish-copper base with flecks of pink sparkle. It had a slightly firmer, thinner consistency that resulted in in good coverage but the color itself looked faded–warmer, too, as a lot of the pink seemed to be sparkle rather than the actual base color. It stayed on well for eight hours on me before fading visibly and had slight fallout over time.

Nude Rich #5
Nude Rich #5 is a medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good color coverage that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The consistency was soft, blendable, and lightly powdery in the pan, but I didn’t have any issues working with it on bare skin. This shade wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Nude Rich #6
Nude Rich #6 is a muted, medium-dark plum with strong, warm undertones and a metallic finish. The texture was slightly more loosely-packed in the pan compared to the other shimmers, so there was slight fallout during application if I wasn’t careful to press and pat it on (or else use a fingertip/dampened brush). It had full color coverage in one pass, which lasted well for eight hours on me before fading visibly.

Nude Rich #8
Nude Rich #8 is a muted, medium-dark red with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was lightly powdery, and while it seemed to have opaque coverage initially, it sheered out a bit in practice so I had to build it back up. The upside was that the color diffused beautifully along the edges with little effort. It wore well for eight hours on me before I noticed fading.

Nude Rich #9
Nude Rich #9 is a deep burgundy with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. The texture was moderately powdery, so I’d recommend using a light hand and more densely-packed brush for initial placement to avoid blowing out the color too much and minimizing fallout. The eyeshadow lasted well for eight hours on me before fading visibly.

For many reasons, I’m intending on buying this one. First off, it is the the perfect compliment to her New Nude palette for adding greater depth and dimension. Second, it’s very easy to travel with size wise. Third, it will bring out the green in my bluish-greenish eyes, which is always a plus!
This palette would look stunning on you Nancy and it’s not too expensive either.
It looks very pretty but I won’t be picking it up as it looks like I have tone tones in Naked Cherry, which I love.
Lovely palette. I have had my eyes on the lite version but want to see it in person. I am coming to the time of year where I will be going to Spokane a few times for holiday shopping so there is the opportunity to see some products in person, if they have them at the little Sephora in Spokane. They usually have a few products from Huda so there is a chance it will be there.
I do love the color stories in many of the mini palettes, including these, but suspected they would not get a glowing review. (At this point, I pass on virtually everything that receives less than an A- rating – unless it’s a release from my favorite brand – because I have to draw the line somewhere and “I already have that 5x over” isn’t working.)
I don’t especially like Huda’s eyeshadow formula, but am rooting for her to hit a home run soon. These these little palettes are impossibly cute and relatively unique among offerings in this saturated market. Perfect for travel or just throwing in my handbag for touch-ups.
This is a goodie I would say, the shades really complement each other and overall the ratings were pretty good. I also think you could use any of the shades with either lighter or contrasting shades from other palettes you own. Beautiful eye look Christine.
oh man. I didn’t think I’d like this as much as I do. It would be the perfect travel palette for me. Also, it reminds me quite a bit of the overall tone of the Colourpop Exes and Oh’s palette, which I’ve also been eyeing for a while. I think I like this one better though. And I swatched the Colourpop palette at my local Ulta and wasn’t as impressed with it as I thought I’d be. So I might pick up this little Huda one instead.
Reminds me of her Mauves palette which is gorgeous and a HG for me because the powders stay on my oily lids without primer. Thinking I need to see these in person.
Is this too similar to mauve obsessions? Lmk thanks
