Hourglass My Favorite Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.03 oz.) is a brighter, medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a natural sheen. The color payoff was fantastic–opaque and even–with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that glided across the lips effortlessly but applied the color well. While it had a light sheen, the formula itself wasn’t slippery, so the color stayed in place well. On me, it lasted for five hours and was lightly hydrating.
The formula is supposed to have “creamy, saturated, longwearing color with a satin finish.” It’s a light-medium thick formula that was typically opaque with a lightly creamy texture that glided on without tugging but did not slide around while worn. The majority of shades had a natural to satin finish, and they lasted anywhere from four to seven hours with light hydration. The best performing shades were light to dark while the lightest and deepest shades weren’t quite as consistent.
The lipstick can be purchased with the full packaging/applicator for $34 or as a refill-only for $22. The refill packaging is substantial enough that it is usable on its own, as there’s a detachable base that the refillable cap clicks onto (with an audible click), but they are very slim–and that’s not a surprise given they only contain 0.03 oz. making them one of the smaller lipsticks on the market. The consistency was creamy, lightweight, and easy to work with as the color applied evenly and smoothly across the lips and never tugged. It yielded opaque pigmentation that lasted for five hours, while the formula kept my lips moisturized the whole time. I had a smidgen of color that pulled into my deeper lip line, though.

I’m so jealous of how good pinks like My Favorite look on your skintone – it looks like such a pretty everyday shade to just throw on with any eye look.
Pinks like that tend to clash horribly with my olive skin – though I’ve learned I can get a similar effect with a peachy-pink-nude.

Not gonna lie; but all 3 are just perfect looking shades for summer! They have that “juicy” look to them, for lack of a better description. Glad that I have MAC Make Me Gorgeous and Vegas Volt for You Can Find Me, and CP Brooklyn for I Always. But I don’t know that I have one for My Favorite, though. Possibly MAC Saucy Little Darling? I’ll go and compare!

I saw these in store and was shocked at how small they are in person – I feel like I’ve seen wider eyeliners! In theory, this isn’t bad for someone like me who basically never finishes a lipstick, but I can’t get over the hurdle of the price. Shame too, the formula seems solid!

I am eagerly awaiting your reviews on other colors in this collection, as I purchased “if only”. I really don’t care for it. The color is pretty and long wearing, but it does not feel creamy or comfortable to wear to me at all. And the elegant packaging isn’t enough for me to forget the small amount of product. $34 for 0.03oz or $56 for 0.06oz .
If elegant packaging is what you want, how about Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 0.12oz $37,
Guerlain Rouge G—- 0.11oz $54 or Tom Ford Lip Color 0.1 oz $54. ?
Guerlain Rouge Gs are sadly getting discontinued. I agree that the packaging is elegant but in a totally different way. The Rouge Gs are heavy and bulky (I love them btw) while these are slender and much lighter. I love both. I am really, really sad about the Rouge Gs – I don’t know what Guerlain is thinking.
I found these to be creamy + comfortable to wear, so I’m not sure if I’ll be any help to you. I’m very sorry!

I think you can safely say this is the smallest full-size lipstick on the market. I have a mini Sephora Rouge lipstick that clocks in a 0.036 oz. I cannot imagine paying this price for that tiny amount of product. What was Hourglass thinking? They really don’t mind people complaining about their prices.
I couldn’t find one by memory – at least not comparing similar high-end brands. I think ColourPop’s Lippie Stix run small, so they’re not as cheap as you might think, but the $5 price tag is more palatable regardless of quantity.
I love these lipsticks! To be honest, it’s rare for me to finish any lipstick so the small size doesn’t bother me. They’re not cheap but they’re such a fun luxury to have. I think I need You Can Find Me! I’ve bought nine of these lipsticks so far and that’s the one that’s still calling my name…maybe My Favourite top! You look absolutely stunning wearing My Favouriname, btw!
