Guerlain Rouge G Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, & Swatches (Part 3)
Guerlain Galiane Rouge G Lipstick
Here are the currently available beiges/browns from the Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick ($51.00 for 0.12 oz.) range–a lot of their lighter beiges seem to be discontinued now. The Rouge G formula is a long-wearing, moisturizing lipstick with a moderately creamy consistency that glides on easily and leaves a lightly glossy, luminous finish behind. Most shades are mostly opaque to fully opaque, though a few are less pigmented. I find the formula to be consistent overall, but there are a few that I like less than others. I reviewed the majority the range four or five years ago, and of course, any newly released shades since, but I thought it was time for an update for the shades still available today. 🙂

Galiane is described as a “nude beige.” It’s a light, pink-tinted beige with a glossy finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that went on fairly evenly. It stayed on well for five hours and was moisturizing over time. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Garance is described as a “muted rose.” It’s a light-medium, pink-beige with warm undertones and a luminous finish. There’s a very, very fine pearl shimmer to the color. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and didn’t look streaky. It wore well for four and a half hours, and it was comfortable to wear as it was very hydrating. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Gracia is described as a “muted plum.” It’s a soft, warm-toned plum with subtle gold, pearly shimmer and a luminous finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage that went on evenly and lasted for four and a half hours. The formula was creamy, hydrating, and comfortable to wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Gaetane is described as a “deep brown.” It’s a medium-dark, orange-toned brown with warm undertones and a light, tangerine pearl. It had a luminous finish with opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly. It wore well for six and a half hours, and the formula was comfortable and hydrating while worn. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

I like the first three, especially Gracia.
Gracia is so pretty! I forgot how lovely it was.
This just keeps getting better! Oh Christine/Guerlain, what are you doing to me?!
Haha!
All these rouge g swatches are so gorgeous just to look at! So far there’s not any one that makes me want to splurge for it though (it’s have to be one I’d feel comfortable wearing every/any day). I wish Galante wasn’t discontinued, I wanted to try it. 🙁
They discontinued a lot of pretty shades – they kept a lot of the reds but discontinued the light/medium shades.
All these shades are so good! And btw, I love your earrings!
Thank you! 😀
I actually like Galiane out of this line up. Do you think it would look neutral on a pale person? Or warm?
I think it might bring out the pink tones in it, actually!
Galiane looks like a beautiful nude!
I think it is!
Ooh! I like Gracia best of these, bu Galiane is so gorgeous on you too! I want to love Garance, as the name has special significance to my thesis research, but I think it might be a hair too orange for me… What is it with people naming things perfectly for me, when those things are orange-related?!?! 😛 just like Buxom Rogue… 😉
To try and get you out of your comfort zone, of course!!
Gracia is probably the only one of the bunch I could pull off… money saved!
Gracia is a great pick!
Galiane and Garance are definitely right up my alley! love love the shades!
They’re lovely!
Gracia is just my kind of “nude”. Deep enough that it doesn’t wash me out and has enough pink in it not to give me sepia-toned lips. So gorgeous!
Gracia is a such a nice shade – color but nothing bright or bold.
It is! It looks like it might be similar to my HG Jordana Twist & Shine in Terra Crave or L’Oreal Carresse Stain in Lilac Ever After (also known as Lolita in Aussie).
Oooh, Garance and Gracia look gorgeous ! Will have to check these out.
Let me know if you try ’em!
Beauties.. Nars Femme Fleur is a dupe for Gaetane! 😀 Gina fits in with the three, too!!
Christine, are holiday products already honestly sold out or will more become available in November? My Sephora basket, prepped for 20%.. Has too many “not in stock”.. The Guerlain meteorites and rouge parade went in minutes! Aggggh!!!!! 🙁
Many are sold out now, but it just depends on the product. If it was LE and out of stock, it’s probably gone. If it’s permanent, then it may be back.
I think Gracia is the one I would most likely splurge on, since it’s the one that would suit me the best as an everyday color. These are definitely something I would need to go into a department store to try on and check put first. Thank you for featuring what appears to be the perfect lipstick!! So many caught my eye. They really seem to cover a full spectrum of colors, maybe to have a “signature” color available for every person like fine perfumes?
Gracia is lovely. More wearable but not too light or dark. It’s one I usually take for travel.
I think they could use a few more cooler-toned shades, and perhaps, a few more light to light-medium colors in general (they use dto!).
