Guerlain Fancy Kiss KissKiss Lipstick
Guerlain Fancy Kiss KissKiss Lipstick

Guerlain Fancy Kiss KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, medium coral with warm, orange tones and a natural sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a smooth, lightweight texture that had moderate slip. It’s a very comfortable formula to wear as it was moderately hydrating over time, but the wear time was three and a half hours and a smidgen of color pulled into the more obvious lip lines on my bottom lip. MAC Style Surge (P, $25.00) is darker (95% similar). Bobbi Brown Retro Coral (P, $37.00) is darker (90% similar). Dior Ultra Lively (450) (P, $37.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Buxom Coral Confession (P, $22.00) is cooler (90% similar). L'Oreal Luminous Coral (P, $9.99) is cooler (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Understudy (114) (DC, $30.00) is darker (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Solar Affair (LE, $52.00) is darker (90% similar). Bite Beauty Centifolia (LE, $28.00) is lighter (90% similar). Burberry Coral (257) (P, $34.00) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Buxom Two-Timer (DC, $21.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Estee Lauder Heavenly (P, $30.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Dior Grege 1947 (169) (P, $35.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (80% similar). Make Up For Ever Poppy Orange (301) (P, $24.00) is brighter (80% similar). Smashbox Nude Beach (P, $21.00) is lighter, cooler (80% similar). YSL Coral Aviator (81) (P, $38.00) is darker, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Guerlain Kiss Blossom KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, medium rosy pink with warmer undertones and fine silver pearl. It had semi-opaque color coverage, and while the texture didn’t tug and still felt smooth/slightly wet as I maneuvered it across my lips, it was one of the more unflattering Guerlain lipsticks I’ve tried–it seemed to accentuate lip lines and the texture of my lips. The color wore for three and a half hours and was very lightly hydrating. MAC DavidBlond (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (95% similar). Estee Lauder Sweet Sinner (P, $32.00) is cooler (95% similar). MAC Rose Dipped (LE, $19.50) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Bonsai Bloom (LE, $20.00) is less pigmented, warmer (90% similar). L'Oreal Sparkling Rose (P, $9.99) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Skew (P, $19.50) is cooler (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Jake (P, $36.00) is darker (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Ansel (DC, $36.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Estee Lauder Bold Innocent (210) (P, $32.00) is cooler (95% similar). Urban Decay Rush (DC, $22.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Wet 'n' Wild Dark Pink Frost (P, $0.99) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). MAC Only You (LE, $19.50) is warmer (90% similar). L'Oreal Burnished Blush (P, $9.99) is darker (85% similar). Chanel Roussy (426) (P, $37.00) is less shimmery, darker, glossier (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Venus Rising (05) (LE, $53.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Chanel Conte (202) (P, $37.00) is darker, glossier (85% similar). MAC Little Buddha (P, $19.50) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Douglas (P, $36.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). L'Oreal Polished Tango (P, $9.99) is darker (85% similar). FORMULA OVERVIEW | Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is supposed to have a “lip-shaping and plumping effect” from hyaluronic acid spheres and “incredibl[e] hydration” with a “fine, even, and rich creamy texture … with impeccable hold.” They’re a lightweight, very creamy and fairly emollient/slippery formula that’s lightly hydrating and gives lips a smoother appearance. I find that they have more color and less slip compared to Shine Automatiques but more slip and shine than Rouge Automatiques. They’re lighter-weight, more emollient, and less hydrating than Rouge Gs. They wear longer than Shine Automatiques but shorter than Rouge Automatiques and Rouge Gs. If you like the shine and shimmer of the Shine Automatique range but want more color coverage, then this might be the right formula for you. If you prefer the wear and hold of Rouge Gs, this formula is noticeably different. The lipsticks are violet-scented but have no discernible taste.

Nice lipsticks but similar not just to other lipsticks I already have but similar to other KissKiss lipsticks that I already have! A big pass for me I’m afraid.

I like the soft spring colors, too bad Blossom’s formula isn’t better. Christine, in your 2nd paragraph, it should Blossom (not Fancy).

OooooOOOOoooooOOOoohhh! I love the look of Fancy Kiss. A muted corally orange that’s not too light? In my beloved Guerlain KissKiss formula? Man.

It looks great on you. Hope it flatters my paler skin, too.

Kiss Blossom is so pretty! BTW, in case you didn’t notice, you need to fix this name in the review section. It says Fancy instead of Kiss Blossom.

As lovely as these both look, my guess is that my having UD Streak, and MAC Reel Sexy , Ravishing and Sunny Seoul, have me *fairly* covered. Not sure how close those all come. Buts lots of similar themed shades, it seems.

Confused about the LEs – I have these shades since when they were launched and they have always been permanent in Europe.

Both of them are pretty, but for me to pay that much for a lipstick, if must at least get an A.

Yay, I think I just found my Summer 2016 go-to lipstick – Fancy Kiss! It’s the *perfect* shade of coral for me, and I really like the Guerlain Kiss Kiss formula. It looks fabulous on you, too, Christine 🙂
