Yacht Life

Fenty Beauty Yacht Life Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick ($25.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a vibrant, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a golden sheen. It had medium coverage that was buildable to opaque coverage with two layers. The shimmer seemed to be finer in this particular shade than others, and I felt like this helped it apply more evenly and sit better on the skin (with or without a base). It gave a luminous glow that was moderate in intensity but not accentuating of my skin’s natural texture.

The consistency was lightweight, thin, and creamy enough not to drag on the skin or apply unevenly, but it was more powder-like during application (at all points except when it was still in the tube!). The color stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading slightly.

Formula Overview

$25.00/0.25 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be long-wearing with a “light-as-air,” “blendable” texture that “lives to be layered." They twist-up and are medium-sized with a domed edge. I found that applying to my fingertips worked better than direct application, as it enabled me greater control over coverage level as well as placement, and if you tend to apply over foundation, then this will help keep the Match Stix cleaner, too.

The texture was thin, and it did seem to go from a “cream” in the tube to a more powder-like product once on the skin. They were fairly blendable with a few being more sparkly with less visible base color, which may not be for everyone, and others had a more pearl-like sheen that didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture. Most shades applied and blended out without lifting up foundation or pulling into pores (over bare skin), but the ones that did tended to have larger particles in them. They lasted between six and eight hours on me.

A problem I had throughout just swatching each shade on my cheeks for photos was that whatever was exposed was a bit dry, more powdery to the touch, and I felt like I had to really warm the product up and/or swipe it back and forth on the back of my hand to refresh the texture. This is not uncommon with drier, cream-based formulas, but it's still a downside and an area that could be improved upon. Some shades were very pigmented, others were medium and buildable, and a couple were sheerer.

I picked this one up and have been wearing it as blush all week and really liking it. I haven’t really tried to use it for any other purposes but it works great as a cream blush and is easy to blend on skin 😀

I bought this color and have really been liking it. I’ve found that it blends out really sheer and super flattering on my skin (light neutral) to the point that it would actually be hard to apply too much. Yesterday I packed on three thick layers, but blended out with my fingers it still came out fresh and glowy, not over the top. I really appreciate how user friendly application is.

The finish is also great. Up close it’s nice, but from a distance my skin looks amazing. I didn’t think my makeup needed blush today, but I couldn’t resist putting a little on.

Finally one with a great score. This one is really beautiful but I have several dupes as I suspect most of us have. I have Flowerchild, Orgasm and Fruit Punch so don’t need this one.

This is such a great product. One of my favorite of the stixs I have. This is what I wish NARS Orgasm was bc it shows up on my brown skin where Orgasm does not. Rihanna did a fantastic job with this one.

Oh my gosh this is so, so pretty on you! I thought I did not want any Fenty beauty products, but this one and that lavendar one…uhg. Maybe my wallet will be making Rihanna a little richer. it is So. So. Pretty.

Hi Christine! This one is calling my name! However I did buy the Moscow Mule/Ginger Binge duo. Would buying this stick be too redundant? Seems that they are similar!
