Fenty Beauty True Neutrals (1) Snap Shadows Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
True Neutrals (1)
Fenty Beauty True Neutrals (1) Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a warm-toned, neutral palette that had three shimmery shades and three matte shades. It was a mixed bag–nothing bad enough to be a real miss but there’s no shortage of neutral palettes on the market, so it not having more consistent, higher performance is surprising.

Nookie Rookie
Nookie Rookie is a pale beige with moderate, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was semi-opaque in a single layer, but the consistency was somewhat powdery so there was a bit of fallout. It needed a primer for more opaque coverage, though. It stayed on well for seven hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "rich, blendable color" that is available in "matte, shimmer, and glitter long-wear finishes." There were a few distinctive formulas used throughout the palettes in which the eyeshadows are housed, but generally, they were decent eyeshadows that were buildable, fairly blendable, and had decent wear, but I felt like most of the shimmers were thin, a little dusty, and had a tendency to look less shimmery once applied (almost a faded quality to them).
The matte formula was most consistent and had semi-opaque to opaque color coverage that went on fairly evenly and blended out without too much effort, though some deeper shades took longer to diffuse or went on patchily initially and had to be diffused and blended out to a more even application. The wear ranged from seven to eight hours on me before they showed signs of fading.
The shimmer formula was typically thin, dusty, and more prone to sheering out or looking somewhat "faded" and less shimmery after a few minutes on my lid. There were a few shades that seemed to have a denser, thicker formulation that offered greater intensity in its shimmer finish but had light fallout and looked thicker on the lid, so they did not layer as well with the other shades (which were thinner). The wear ranged from six to eight hours before fading.
The glitters had a gritty feel to them, as one might expect of a glitter-packed product, with decent spreadability. The wear ranged from seven to eight hours with light to moderate fallout.

Velvet Cuffs
Velvet Cuffs is a darker, peachy gold with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and a bit denser without being too firmly pressed into the pan–wish all of the brand’s shimmers was like this one!–that picked up well with a brush. It had opaque pigmentation that lasted well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Simma Down
Simma Down is a medium-dark peach with moderate, warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, which applied best with a moderately heavy-hand as it was more firmly pressed into the pan. The stiffness ensured that fallout was an issue, but it had to be really pressed and slowly pulled out to spread the color on my skin. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Not something I need anyway, but it’s not bad for a grab & carry on-the-run palette, either. I wish Velvet Cuffs came as a single shadow, though!
A lower quality version of Viseart Theory in Minx. I like a lot of Fenty products but the eye looks have not excited me at all.
I do like a good neutral palette but prefer more cool colors. As most of us, I have plenty.
Your look was so pretty. It belied the shortcomings of the palette.
It is a pretty palette, but as you have said Christine, there are lots and lots of these warm toned neutrals in the market at the moment, so to stand out it has to be of excellent quality, which this is not.
I did love Tequila Nite, but I also have lots of dupes for it.
Beautiful eye look Christine.
