Fenty Beauty Makeout Break & Glazed Slip Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Makeout Break
Fenty Beauty Makeout Break Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a light-medium peach with moderately warm, yellow undertones and even warmer, peachy-gold pearl. It had sheer to semi-sheer pigmentation in a single pass, which didn’t build too far beyond medium coverage with a second or third layer. This particular shade had some visible streaking along the edges, which became more and more pronounced with multiple layers.
The consistency felt lightweight, creamy without being too slippery, and was comfortable to apply and to wear. It was one of the few shades in the range that did not apply as evenly nor sit as flatteringly on my lips. It lasted for three hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.098 oz. - $224.49 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "sheer" coverage that is "ultra comfortable" that "lock[s] in moisture." It's designed to be something you can apply without a mirror (which just really make it clear that it is a sheerer product), but it does say "buildable" with multiple layers. The consistency was moderately dense in the tube but melted subtly as I applied it to my lips, and it felt more emollient after a few seconds of wear. They felt lightweight without being tacky, and it had more of a light-medium level of slip, so it didn't seem to slide around a lot during wear. It definitely has a balmy feel on the lips but has some staying power (but less than say, an opaque, satin lipstick).
The coverage was semi-sheer and buildable to medium coverage if desired for most shades. The deeper shades were more visible on my lips as they offered more contrast to my natural lip color, whereas the lighter and more mid-tone shades had less noticeable differences once applied. Keep in mind that sheerer lip products are greatly influenced by one's natural lip color, so they can look quite different from person to person.
There were a few shades that were more prone to settling into fine lines, while other shades appeared shiny and smoothing. They were comfortable to wear as the formula felt hydrating over time, though wear time was three to four hours, depending on the shade.
It had a sweet, vanilla scent with a touch of fruitiness to me, and I felt like there was a subtle, sweet taste I could detect at times.

Glazed
Fenty Beauty Glazed Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.098 oz.) is a muted, light-medium peachy coral with warm undertones and fine, warmer peachy-gold pearl woven through a more luminous finish. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage that could be built up to medium coverage with a second layer.
There was a smidgen of product that sank into my deeper lip lines in the close-up photo but not enough to be noticeable in person. The texture felt balm-like with a creamy, melt-on-your-lips formula that had some slip but didn’t slide around too readily during wear. It felt lightweight, comfortable, and had decent hydration over the three hours it lasted for.

Shame about these, they look just ok. After the blush launch you would think this collection was more inspired in colour choice. They could of matched these lipsticks to the blush colours and they would of been much more exciting.
I agree—lipsticks coordinated to the blushes would have been a great idea!
Glazed is *okay*. But to be perfectly honest, neither of these shades is turning my wheels.
I thought these were launching today, but they aren’t showing up as available yet on either Sephora or Fenty’s site- have you heard anything?
I haven’t! I asked, and they said they got pushed back but did not have a new date for me!
These look quite average really – there is hardly any colour on your lips. I like Carla’s suggestion above – of matching the lip shades to the blush colours. That would have been interesting.
