Fenty Beauty Deep Neutrals (3) Snap Shadows Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Deep Neutrals (3)
Fenty Beauty Deep Neutrals (3) Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 for 0.21 oz.) contains four matte eyeshadows and two shimmer eyeshadows to create a deeper, richer take on neutrals.
As has been true of most of the shades in the brand’s palettes, the mattes performed best with good pigmentation that blended out well and had solid wear. The shimmers were better in this palette than some of the others, but the did under-perform.

Nudy Booty
Nudy Booty is a light-medium, taupe-brown with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had rich pigmentation in a single layer, while the texture was soft, blendable but somewhat powdery in the pan so make sure to tap off excess prior to application. It stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "rich, blendable color" that is available in "matte, shimmer, and glitter long-wear finishes." There were a few distinctive formulas used throughout the palettes in which the eyeshadows are housed, but generally, they were decent eyeshadows that were buildable, fairly blendable, and had decent wear, but I felt like most of the shimmers were thin, a little dusty, and had a tendency to look less shimmery once applied (almost a faded quality to them).
The matte formula was most consistent and had semi-opaque to opaque color coverage that went on fairly evenly and blended out without too much effort, though some deeper shades took longer to diffuse or went on patchily initially and had to be diffused and blended out to a more even application. The wear ranged from seven to eight hours on me before they showed signs of fading.
The shimmer formula was typically thin, dusty, and more prone to sheering out or looking somewhat "faded" and less shimmery after a few minutes on my lid. There were a few shades that seemed to have a denser, thicker formulation that offered greater intensity in its shimmer finish but had light fallout and looked thicker on the lid, so they did not layer as well with the other shades (which were thinner). The wear ranged from six to eight hours before fading.
The glitters had a gritty feel to them, as one might expect of a glitter-packed product, with decent spreadability. The wear ranged from seven to eight hours with light to moderate fallout.

Fiya Freak
Fiya Freak is a rich, medium-dark orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent pigmentation with a slightly drier, firmer texture, though I didn’t find it too difficult to pick up product. The firmer texture made it easier to build up product by picking up less product, though. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Heaven Cent
Heaven Cent is a medium-dark copper with subtle, warm undertones and flecks of pink and gold shimmer that gave it a frosted finish overall. The texture was a bit firmer and denser in the pan, so it needed a heavier hand to pick up product evenly with a brush. It had good color coverage that applied evenly to bare skin but had light fallout during application. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Shots Fired
Shots Fired is a medium-dark burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was stiffer, drier, and a bit thinner compared to the other shades, though it blended out without too much extra effort (better than expected!). It had good color payoff that was buildable to mostly opaque coverage over bare skin, but it’s a shade I’d definitely use over a primer. The color stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Smash or Pass
Smash or Pass is a muted, medium-dark brown with moderate, warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin, though it was a little overly emollient so I had to be careful to place it and only blend out the edges to avoid pushing the product around. It wore well for eight hours before I noticed slight fading.

Not bad! But, I still love the Huda version of a deep nude much more. Either one would be very travel friendly and portable.
A pretty good rating overall, but the emphasis on orangey shades makes it an easy pass for me. I do like the Smash or Pass shade – quite interesting and that little bit different to your average brown shimmer.
Lovely eye look Christine.
I did not expect such a great look as you created from looking at the pan! I find the colors to be very pretty when worn although I initially expected a much darker look.
