Fenty Beauty Bank Tank, Puppy Eyez, Moon Dunez, Space Cookie Flypencil Eyeliners Reviews & Swatches
Bank Tank
Fenty Beauty Bank Tank Flypencil Longwear Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a medium-dark green with moderate, warm olive undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque coverage in a single layer but appeared quite a bit lighter in one stroke compared to how it appeared with a second layer.
The texture was smooth, creamy without being too emollient, and comfortable to apply to the lower lash line as well as the water line. It didn’t seem to build up as evenly when I did so on my arm, but I didn’t notice unevenness when I wore it on my actual lash line. The color stayed on well for six hours on my lower water line and nine hours on my lower lash line.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.01 oz. - $2200.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "smudge-resistant, water-resistant longwear" with a "creamy" consistency and "hyper-pigmented" coverage. They lasted between four and eight hours on my lower waterline and eight to nine hours with minimal fading/movement on my lower lash line for the most part; they did not seem to be marketed for waterline usage, so longevity ratings are based on lasting power on my lower lash line. I found that the shimmer shades moved the least over time, while they were the ones that adhered least to my waterline compared to the matte shades.
The texture was smooth, creamy, and comfortable to work with on my waterline as well as my lower lash line as it the pencils did not tug. There's not a lot of time for smudging, so you'll want to work quickly and one eye at a time if that's something you'd like to do with the liner.
The pigmentation varied from shade to shade with most shades having somewhere between medium (but buildable) to opaque coverage. There were a few shades that applied best with short, overlapping strokes to get the most even, intense coverage. The creamier texture coupled with the liner's quick drydown meant that a second layer was best applied after the first layer dried down; some of the creamier shades (like Sea About It) layered poorly otherwise.
Warning: once twisted up, the pencil doesn't twist back into the holder, so make sure you don't twist more product than necessary out. I also found that some of the creamier shades could break when applied--I had this occur on the following shades during swatching: Bachelor Pad, In Big Truffle, and Sea About It and had it occur during application (to my lower lash line) with She a Problem.

Puppy Eyez
Fenty Beauty Puppy Eyez Flypencil Longwear Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a medium bronze with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which applied evenly and fluidly across my skin without tugging or pulling on my lash line.
The consistency was creamy, smooth, and quick to set–not a formula I’d say smudges easily, whether intentionally or not! It wore nicely for six hours on my lower water line and nine hours on my lower lash line before fading/thinning.

Moon Dunez
Fenty Beauty Moon Dunez Flypencil Longwear Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a light-medium, grayish-pewter with subtle, cool undertones and warmer flecks of pink and gold micro-sparkle over a pearly sheen.
It had medium coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to opaque coverage when applied in shorter, overlapping strokes on the lash line. The pencil applied smoothly to my lash line without tugging as it was creamy enough to glide on but didn’t run or settle into fine lines. It lasted well for five hours on my lower water line and eight and a half hours on my lower lash line.

Space Cookie
Fenty Beauty Space Cookie Flypencil Longwear Eyeliner ($22.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a deep brown with warm, reddish undertones and flecks of gold and pink sparkle over a pearly sheen. It had nearly opaque coverage in one layer, which was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The pencil had a smooth, lightly creamy texture that skated across my lash line without pulling on it, so it was comfortable to use. It was quick to set in place, so I would work one eye at a time if you want to smudge it. The color stayed on well for eight and a half hours on my lower lash line before fading/thinning.

Liking some of these colours, the green, Bank Tank, and the pewter, Moon Dunez, because they are a little more unique. I like the bronze, Puppy Eyes as well, but feel it is quite dupable. I’m fighting with myself not to buy a handful of these pencils. Is anyone using Cuz I’m Black specifically for tightlining? What do you think? I like my Milk Boss pencil, but find it so ridiculously messy so I’m looking for a replacement which has equal staying power.
Definitely some cool shades in the line! The upside is that liner is often applied more thinly, so some of the unevenness/lack of opacity isn’t as noticeable from a normal viewing distance!
Still prefer MJB for tightlining if I really want forever-hold. I usually use UD Perversion, which doesn’t wear as well as MJB, but it’s easier to remove and applies better for me because I can’t hold a pencil to my upper water line (I literally hold the pencil and blink onto it 40 times).
I really like the shade Moon Dunez. It looks like it might be a cooler version of Urban Decay 24/7 Mushroom, which is my #1 favorite eyeliner. Which would make it very “wantable” for me.
On a side note, I’m wondering…is “Dunez” supposed to be pronounced like “dunes”? I automatically thought “doo-nez” when I saw that spelling!
Bank Tank doesn’t look as nice as I first thought and I have T-Rex (4 times the product for half the price, although it does need sharpening so I guess there’s a small amount of wasted product in that process). The math sort of speaks for itself to me (and I think T-Rex looks nicer but then I’m a shimmer gal!). I was hoping Moon Dunez would appeal to me more and get a better rating…. It’s a nice colour. What’s really weird is that while these are really skinny liners (I’m going by the description), the roundness of the tips makes them look almost like the Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown pencil shadow sticks – if I’d not read the description, I’d have thought they were shadow sticks too.
The upside to sharpening is that it is revealing fresher product more often, and given it is a lot more, I feel like it works out and might actually be better!
No idea how these will do over time, but sometimes the ones you twist-up can get drier and you have to waste some product to get rid of the air-exposed layer.
Bank Tank doesn’t sound as good as I was imagining it would. Not terrible, but I do already have Sephora Contour Pencil in T-Rex, so I suppose I don’t need it.
It’s a whole nuther story for Space Cookie, Puppy Eyes and possibly even Moon Dunez! Those are awesome-sauce!
I really love Moon Dunez, it reminds me a lot of my favorite UD Ether 24/7 pencil. I’m glad to know it’s “buildable to opaque coverage when applied in shorter, overlapping strokes on the lash line”. I love your tips and observations! From the Sneak Peek I was worried it would be patchy and wouldn’t build evenly.
One thing I’m curious about, in the photos the pencil tip looks, and swatches much wider than normal pencils, is it like that in person? If so, you wouldn’t be able to make a thin stripe along the lash line.
They’re not ultrafine, but they are not chubby pencils (like an eyeshadow pencil). They have a more rounded tip than other twist-up pencils like MJB Highliners.
That’s good to know. Thank you!

Those links are really helpful. 🙂 I think it would work well for me. BTW, it’s coincidental that the first link was for the Colourpop UR A QT palette look, I saw it at Ulta and had to buy it!
I was excited about these, but I’ll be sticking to my CP liners. Overboard is one of my favorite non wild liner colors in my entire collection and it is absolutely a dupe for Puppy Eyez. There are some colors in the Fenty collection I can’t get with CP, but unfortunately they are the ones that aren’t performing well. Moon Dunez is a unique color and even though it didn’t get the best rating I am intrigued by it. I’m sure if I see in store I’ll be tempted just because it is so interesting to me.
I picked up Puppy Eyez and use on my lower lash line. I tend to have watery outer corners and this stuff doesn’t budge all day. I love it.
I like Puppy Eyez the best, but the Colour Pop alternative in the dupe list is just as good, but way cheaper.
Even though I am a ‘green’ fan, the matte green here is not quite doing it for me.
I bought this in Black Card and have mixed feelings. I find the tip too fat for a thiner line. Not my fav. The formula is great! Sparky without glitter and dries down very quickly. The other complaint is once you twist it up, the product cannot be twisted back down. I also find the plastic device bulkier compared to the average pencil.
Considering their dome shaped tips and the fact that they’re twist up, I’m confused and disappointed that they aren’t more smugable. Everyone’s afraid of a little smudge these days. I love all these colors though.
Moon Dunez is definitely going on my “get list.” I love the shade, and it’s unique.
I’m considering Space Cookie, too, as reddish browns usually look good with my greenish eyes. I wish it were slightly redder, though.
I’ll probably get Moon Dunez too. I don’t have any pencil like it, even remotely. So few makeup things are unique these days and I feel I have dupes for almost everything, it’s really fun when something like this comes along.
