Fall 2020 Swatches: Natasha Denona Chromiums + Dominique Cosmetics Beautiful Mess

Here are swatches of the new, multichrome Natasha Denona Chromium Liquid Eyeshadow ($28.00 for 0.08 fl. oz.), which is available in five, limited shades. In case you didn’t notice, the size of these is unusually small at 0.08 fl. oz.; most liquid eyeshadows run between 0.13 fl. oz. and 0.15 fl. oz. with some that are even larger at 0.27 fl. oz.

Next, Dominique Cosmetics Beautiful Mess Liquid Eye Paint ($28.00 for 0.27 fl. oz.) recently debuted six shades in their liquid eyeshadow formula with two (the last two) featuring a multichrome shift, which you’ll find swatches of below.

As always, for duochrome and multichrome shades, you’ll want to click/tap to view more swatches for that particular shade!

I wish they had opted for different packaging. Both my Smashbox lipstick and Stila glitters in the square component dried out faster than average.

I totally agree! I was shocked at how fast my Smashbox liquid lipsticks dried out and got thick. Way faster than other formulas/packaging. Same for the Stila vs something like Black Moon’s.

The ND swatches look sensational and I guess that the smaller size would mean that you could use them all up before they go dry in the tube. The Ultraviolet shade is gorgeous, but personally I love Dogbane the best.
Some of the DC swatches look a little patchy, but others look good too.

Christine I am just waiting on your review for the ND multichromes!! I know she’s had some inconsistencies in her other liquid shadows before and their IG swatches looked too good to be true, so I can wait to hear what you think before I go dropping $28 for .08 oz of product times however many I’m interested in.

I already purchased 3 out of 5 (Scarab, Ultraviolet, and Infra-Nude) of the ND shadows on launch date at my local Sephora. Haven’t been there since March.

I am loving them so far. Ultraviolet looks stunning in person, on the lids. Infra-Nude applied patchy the one time I used it but I’m going to play around with it more. Haven’t got around to play with Scarab yet…super excited!

If your review is good, I’ll probaly try on of the ND Multi; first to try for the first time a liquid eyeshadow, and to try a multichrome.

I’m afraid the result won’t be good because of my oily lids, and my very hooded eyes. We’ll see !
