Too Faced Something About Berry Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush
Too Faced Something About Berry Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush ($30.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a trio of “shimmering mauve pink,” “golden peach,” and “shimmering magenta pink.” Swirled together, it creates a brightened, medium pink with subtle cool undertones and a warmer, golden beige shimmer for a soft, frosted finish. Tarte Crave (LE) is less shimmery, warmer. Giorgio Armani Eccentrico (LE, $88.00) is lighter. Too Faced Raindrops on Roses (LE) is a touch lighter. theBalm Frat Boy (P, $21.00) is less shimmery, warmer. Guerlain Blush G (LE, $65.00) is lighter, slightly warmer. MAC Star Wonder (LE, $23.50) is darker. See comparison swatches.
The Sweethearts blush is a baked formula, which Too Faced says “allows it to truly work on all skin tones–the blush can be applied as a beautiful buildable finish.” The size of the blush will allow you to apply all three together, or you can lean a little more towards the left (warmer) or to the right (cooler). To use them individually, you’d have to use a really small brush, so it’s not practical for most. The color was buildable, and the deeper pink shade is fairly intense, so fairer skin tones will want to pay attention to how much they apply or else tap off excess product on the brush (even soft brushes pick up a lot of product). However, because the texture is powdery, it is prone to sheering out more than it is to building up, so pat on for more intense color before blending too much–oilier skin types (or apply over liquid foundation just before it fully dries down) may not experience this as much. The texture is powdery–you’ll want to use your softest blush brush to minimize the excess that gets kicked up. On the skin, it doesn’t look powdery, though, and it only slightly emphasized pores, while it wore well for six hours before showing signs of fading–both of those traits are common to baked formulas, in my experience.

Such a shame about the C+. Everything about it looks so pretty!
I know – it’s so pretty look at, but I wish it performed better!
I really like the Too Faced blush I bought earlier this year. I haven’t had much trouble with it being too powdery. I love this new berry shade, but I don’t think I’ll be buying it or the peach one either. Although I love everything that’s heart-shaped, the Too Faced blush takes up a lot of room and it’s not portable, so I am unlikely to add another to my collection. Wish they’d come out with mini versions!!
If you like that one, then you’ll probably like this one! This one is more powdery and shorter-wearing, but I didn’t love the spring one either.
Love this heart-shaped blush, it looks terrific, I´ll put it on my list for Christmas wishes
Fingers crossed you’ll find it in your stocking!
Such cute packaging! And I love the colors. It doesn’t seem very practical to use though, especially not the more product you use up.
It’s very spring-y!
Meh, too shimmery and too expensive.
It’s a pass from me, too!
pretty look, but pass on the blush. So glad to see the Chocolate Bar palette in action on your eyes. I’m definitely grabbing this palette and prefer it for me over UDNaked3…which was tempting until I saw the Muse review on same.
I like N3 a lot more than the Chocolate Bar palette, but I am no fan of anything powdery so that’s probably why! The Chocolate Bar is definitely a darker/smokier palette, though.
This is so pretty! Christine, I love your makeup here!
Thanks, Danielle!
What ever the grade is, it still looks amazing both on your face and in the pan!
Thank you, Bengisu!
Girlfriend, your lips! <3
🙂
Do you know when this comes out? (Sorry if it’s up there and i’m just over-looking it.) I didn’t care for the original color, but I LOVE this one.
Hi Sana,
It’s on Sephora’s website now, but it shows as out of stock. I’m not sure when Sephora will “turn it on” so to speak.
This reminds me a lot of benefit’s Bella Bamba, what do you reckon Christine?
Bella Bamba is more muted, doesn’t have the same warmer overlay of shimmer, and is less frosted in general!
So I have an excuse to at least check this out yaay! It is so nice of you to take time to answer questions and comments Christine 🙂
Reminds me of nars orgasm when it’s sheeted out.
Too bad its not that great, it looks so pretty on the cheeks! Your eyeshadow also looks very pretty Christine!
Thanks, Kiara!
Maybe it’s just my screen, but I’ms not seeing “berry”…
This is soooo pretty! I love it!
It’s such a lovely color! But it’s not berry, more like, peach? Also, is it just me but it reminds me of Tarina Tarantino’s Parasol?
Won’t be buying this though, I’ve had enough problem making my blush stay in my face 🙁
Hi! I was wondering if this is a limited edition product. It didn’t seem to say anywhere.
Too Faced listed it as new, so it should be permanent!
Oh, man! It’s too bad that this one was such a disappointment — I haven’t bought a new blush in ages, and I was kind of hoping to go for something new and fun, like this one!
With all that shimmer and powderiness, though, I guess I’ll just have to be patient and keep waiting for something to really grab me 🙂
