Dose of Colors Sassy Siennas Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Sassy Siennas
Dose of Colors Sassy Siennas Eyeshadow Palette ($32.00 for 0.30 oz.) contains a mix of corals and warmer, reddish-browns all with a matte finish. The formula was soft, moderately powdery, and a little denser/more substantial than the average matte formula, which I felt made these a little harder to use if one isn’t used to this type of product. They needed to be used with a lighter touch, and even then, sometimes there was still fallout, but they were quite pigmented and lasted for seven to eight hours on me.

Oh So Sassy
Oh So Sassy is a medium coral with warm undertones and a matte finish; it was slightly pinker and not as vibrant compared to Bossy. It had opaque color payoff that applied well to bare skin and blended out with little effort. The texture was slightly dusty in the pan, but it didn’t seem to be too difficult to use, though I’d recommend doing eyes prior to base with this formula. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Bossy
Bossy is a rich, medium coral-orange with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, smooth texture that was slightly powdery and had some fallout during application, but it maintained its intensity on my lid. It blended out easily and lasted for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Foxy
Foxy is a soft, medium brown with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin, but the texture was a touch drier and more powdery, so it was prone to fallout during application (even when I tried to tap off excess prior to using it). The color stayed on well for seven and a half hours on me.

Brassy
Brassy is a slightly muted, medium brown with warm, red undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, while the texture was soft, velvety, and smooth with just a touch of powderiness in the pan, but this shade was one of the easiest to use on the lid without having to be extra careful. This shade wore well for eight hours on me.

Stay Sassy
Stay Sassy is a dark brown with warm, red undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had good color payoff that applied well in a single layer and could be built up to full coverage with less than half of a layer on top. The consistency was smooth and velvety, lightly powdery, and I found it wasn’t quite as blendable as the rest of the shades in the palette. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading a bit on me.

I do think that there needed to be a little more differentiation between the shades and certainly a lighter one at that. These are popular shades with a pretty good rating overall. However if you just wanted those colours to round out your collection, this would be perfect.
That these DoC quints don’t seem to ever include a browbone shade of some sort, and lack enough contrast in depth between the shades is why I haven’t bought one yet. With only 5 shades, there really needs to be some better contrast and variety!
I purchased this palette a while ago during a Ulta sale. The eye shadows are a bit powdery and way too similar in color. Rarely reach for it but when I do add other colors and glitter.
This looks beautiful and I really love you review mark thing! Really useful,
Are you going to review the Mauves version of this palette? I looked for it but didn’t see it.
This is pretty but I think I’ll pass. The market is pretty saturated with warm tones and I think I have enough lol.
Sorry, I haven’t reviewed that!
This fiery toned talk to me. So pretty! I really like it but have very similar shades already…but pretty it is.
Iām all for warm tones and my beloved highliters enthusiasm still going strong. Yippee! Lol!
