Dolce & Gabbana Fire (610) Classic Cream Lipstick
Here are the last three shades from the Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick ($33.00 for 0.12 oz.) range I have to share with you (you can check out part one here). The formula is supposed to be a long-wearing, richly-pigmented, and hydrating. In May, the brand added twenty new shades to its range for a total of forty-two. The formula is rose-scented but has no discernible taste for me. The consistency is creamy, light-to-medium in weight, comfortable to wear, and moderately moisturizing.
Dolce & Gabbana Fire (610) Classic Cream Lipstick ($33.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “fire engine red.” It’s a bold, brightened orange-red with a satin finish. The color coverage was fantastic with full, opaque color in a single pass. The consistency was creamy enough to apply the color evenly, but it didn’t slide around once on. This shade lasted for six hours on me and left a stain behind. It’s a gorgeous color, but this is one of those shades that many, many brands have done; there are a vast number of extremely similar shades — See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Dolce & Gabbana Devil (620) Classic Cream Lipstick ($33.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as an “orange red.” It’s a medium-dark, warm-toned red with orange undertones and a satin finish. This shade is darker and more muted in comparison to Fire. The formula was lightweight, comfortable to wear, and applied beautifully with rich, opaque color payoff. On me, it lasted for six and a half hours and left a stain behind. MAC Dangerous (P, $16.00) is more matte. MAC Scarlet Ibis (LE, $16.00) is more matte. MAC Lady Danger (P, $16.00) is more orange. Hourglass Raven (P, $28.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Dolce & Gabbana Scarlett (625) Classic Cream Lipstick ($33.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “deep red.” It’s a medium-dark, cool-toned red with a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented and yielded full color coverage. The color applied well without tugging on the lips, and it didn’t bleed or feather on me (though I’m not particularly prone to either, so keep that in mind). This shade wore well for almost seven hours and left a stain behind. MAC Ruby (LE, $16.00) is similar. Too Faced Melted Ruby (P, $21.00) is darker, cooler-toned. MAC Ruffian Red (LE, $16.00) is warmer. MAC MAC Red (P, $16.00) is more matte. MAC Charmed, I’m Sure (LE, $16.00) is darker, more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

This is like getting staright A’s in an exam! 😛 The colors are absolutely gorgeous on you Christine, although a bit similar to each other! definitely look very similar to the Givenchy Le Rouge! I am lusting after Petal though..
Haha! 😉 In general, I’ve liked D&G’s lipstick formula (which was why I was surprised to see them cop out on the non-traditional shades they released last year!), and they’re a great formula to consider if you like your satins!
Love this formula and these colors. Don’t have these shades but have been wanting Scarlett. Gorgeous!!!!
They’re very rich!
I’ve never tried D&G products before. The longevity of these lipsticks are pretty impressive!!
These are all richer/deeper shades, which tend to wear longer (regardless of formula), though this is a nice formula.
All of them look beautiful on you!
Thanks, Fancie!
I like how they have so many fine shades of red in terms of undertone, because I find red can vary a lot on different complexions! Scarlett would definitely be my favourite of these three 🙂 Can’t wait to see more from this range!
Wish I had more shades to show you! They’ve been nice from the six I’ve tried.
They’re so beautiful!
They are!
Scarlett……named after Scarlett Johanssen….???? She the model for the brand.
Probably!
Wow – these are beautiful lipsticks.
Which was your favorite, Genevieve?
That packaging is sooooo luxe! Amazing across the board too!? Wow, D&G hit it off the park and I’m loving ALL the BOLD reds 🙂
These were all very nice!
Absolutely three amazing red lipsticks. I’ll chek out Scarlett.
However, though I’m not an extremely demanding person, DEVIL is one of the worst product names ever. And utterly unacceptable. In my opinion, of course.
I can totally understand/see why that would be a bad product name!
Yowza! The brightest cream finishes I’ve seen in a while! I thought the Estée Lauder colour envy lipsticks were bright but these are sumthin’ else! They are beautiful but I wear super bright reds so rarely that I probably can’t warrant buying any of these. I’ll wait to see what else is in this line!thnx for the swatches Christine I can imagine the pain of wiping each of these off to swatch them!!
No problem, Dee! 🙂
Love all three!
Yay!
I’ve never tried any D&G make up. Not available here as far as I know. So many brands aren’t available, I’m a bit envious, I must say 🙂
These lipsticks are just gorgeous. I want them all. Scarlett most of all, but I have MAC Ruby, good thing that.
They all look very good on you, Christine.
Thanks, Helene!
D&G Beauty has a more limited distribution – only recently did they get picked up at a few more retailers here in the U.S.
Oh my gosh, new reds! I just love red (and fuchsia) lipsticks! I wish we have these in the Philippines.. You really rock red lipsticks Christine!
Thank you, Cristina!
I was considering buying mac’s russian red lipstick, but now I’m really thinking i should probably try one of these!Which one is most similar to the mac’s colour?
Thanks!
Scarlett would be closest since the other two are quite warm. I’m not sure if there is a better match within the range (I have only seen six!).
These are getting all A+. wow! I haven’t tried D&G but I might try one these soon.
The formula is really great with these shades!
Wow! You always looks so stunning in red lips. I think I will visit this formula this fall.
Thank you, Wendy! 🙂
I think for the price the Too Face dupe is more like to make it’s way into my stash.
Good call! 🙂
