Dior Vie d’Enfer (869) Dior Addict Fluid Stick ($35.00 for 0.18 fl oz.) is a brightened, medium, blue-based red with a creamy, glossy finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage, and it applied evenly and smoothly. This shade wore well for five hours on me. MAC RiRi Woo (LE, $15.00) is darker. Giorgio Armani #400 (P, $29.00) is warmer. NARS Norma (P, $26.00) is darker. MAC Send Me Sailing (LE, $15.00) is darker. MAC Russian Red (P, $15.00) is slightly darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Dior Intrigue (995) Dior Addict Fluid Stick ($35.00 for 0.18 fl oz.) is a cool-toned, purpled berry with a creamy, glossy finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage–it was the least pigmented out of the shades I bought to try–and settled noticeably into lip lines. The gloss managed to wear just over five hours on me. MAC Modern Lure (LE, $15.00) is shimmery. Maybelline Caviar Couture (050) (P, $8.99) is brighter. Tom Ford Beauty Wet Violet (P, $45.00) is darker, purpler. MAC Rebel (LE, $15.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

To recap, the formula is supposed to have the effect of “shiny gloss and pigmented lipstick into one color-rich product.” It is also described as long-wearing, lightweight, and having coverage “that is between a gloss and lipstick.” The texture is lightweight, creamy, and almost cool-to-the-touch when initially applied, but it thickens slightly and clings more to the natural curvature of the lip without being uncomfortable. A slight tackiness develops shortly after application and gets progressively tackier as it wears on, though it never feels too sticky or gluey. It feels mostly like a more opaque lipgloss than a liquid lipstick. It was fairly hydrating and wore longer than the average gloss. It had a perfume-y scent that is stronger during application than it is worn. At times, I felt like I was tasting it here and there (almost soapy), but it was faint enough that sometimes I thought I was imagining it.

P.S. — This wraps up all my reviews on this formula — all shades I bought have now been reviewed! 🙂 If you missed any, you can see them all here!

These are so intriguing with beautiful package at that! I know you said you have about 5 hours of wear but do these compare to the YSL glossy stains at all? I have 4 of them so I’m very familiar with the consistency and staying power

Pity about Intrigue. Vie d’Enfer is pretty. I don’t think I’ll get any of these, as the price here is ridiculous. I just checked, and a lipstick from the new Estée Lauder line up is somewhere around $47. Make up is so overpriced here.
If Intrigue had been really good, I might have bought it anyway, as I love purple and berry toned lips.
I love how Vie d’Enfer looked on you Christine.

*sigh* I had the feeling that Intrigue would do the lipliney thing when you actually put it on your lips! Ah well, I still approve of them putting a properly vampy gloss in the collection. I think I’d probably end up wearing it over lipstick (which I don’t generally like to do, oddly enough), so it might actually be…safe from me?! *gasp*

More space in my piggy bank for Rieuse and Magique, then? 😉
