Becca Raspberry/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle Review, Photos, Swatches
Becca Raspberry/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle
Becca Raspberry/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle ($27.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “raspberry infused with golden opal.” It’s a muted, medium warm-toned plum with gold shimmer and a frosted sheen. Sephora + Pantone Universe Bridal Rose (LE) is more metallic, cooler-toned, powder. MAC Scene to Be Seen (Inner) (LE, $30.00) is darker, powder. MAC Lavish Living (LE, $25.00) is darker, cooler-toned. MAC Lust (LE, $30.00) is lighter. NARS G-Spot (P, $39.00) is darker, cooler-toned. NARS Lovejoy (P, $29.00) is darker, powder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
This is one of the “cooler”-toned shades in the range, though they all seem to be on the warmer side. It had good, buildable color payoff that was mostly opaque and could be sheered out if desired. The finish is more metallic–straddling that fine line between frost and metallic–and just very slightly emphasizes the pores on my cheeks. In person, I don’t think it’s too noticeable unless you’re really looking for it. The formula delivers the “pop of color” promised along with the “illumination.” It has a wet, spongy texture that feels airy and whipped, so it’s extremely easy to apply and blend on the skin (whether bare or over foundation). It has a slightly tart, fruity scent that I can detect in the jar but not really applied. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me before showing signs of fading.

This has a lovely rosegold finish to it! Love this one on you!
Thanks, Divya!
I like this one most so far!
Yay!!
This is perfection!!!
Glad you liked it, Hannah!
This was on my maybe list and ugh, I’m still on the fence. I’m not certain if this is a must have. Is this similar to Hourglass Mood Exposure.. must pull up the swatches.
p.s. love your lipgloss 🙂
Thank you!
p.p.s. Indeed, they are quite similar, but Becca far more shimmery
Thank you for looking that up because I was wondering the same thing.
Glad you were able to compare ’em, Wendy! The finish on the Souffles is definitely going to make all of the shades differ from the Ambient Lighting Blushes!
This one.. Save the best for last! I really like this! 😀
Yay!
Now I can’t wait until mine gets here today! Thanks for your review Christine.
No problem, JJ!
I got it and I absolutely love this one! I don’t really own any “cool toned” blushes, but I’m very pleased with this product. Can’t wait to do a full makeup look with it! The texture definitely caught me by surprise tho, it really is spongey lol.
LOL! The texture is very interesting, especially if you haven’t experienced it before!
The name is yummy !
It looks like eye shadow. Dors it too shimmery once on the cheeks ?
In the picture it looks like very pretty !
Xoxo,
Michelle
Too shimmery is more of a preference, but it does slightly emphasize pores.
On my screen, it appears you have a different color on each cheek. If so, which swatch is this product, your left or right cheek?
Hi Reema! It’s always the side that it is turned towards you, which in this instance, is on your right 🙂
This is BEAUTIFUL on you! Gorgeous color!
Thank you, Kellie!
I am in love with this! These just scream summer to me.
The finish is very summery!
So pretty! I just cannot decide which of the 6 I like best. I told myself I would only get 1 for now. I know I don’t want the Papaya/Topaz because it’s too dark for me, but the 5 others are all up in the air. I think I will have the swatch them in person and hopefully that will help narrow it down! 🙂
You probably can’t go wrong color-wise with the rest, as they’re all kind of mid-tone!
I JUST ordered this, super excited. Sephora is 15% cash back on Ebates so I couldn’t resist this any longer 🙂
I saw the cash back on Ebates and was like, “Whoa!”
Gorgeous! I’m surprised how much I like this shade (and I just love it on you…maybe even more than the papaya…which was my former favorite…).
Thanks a lot, Megan!
Christine, are you planning to do a roundup of these Becca soufflés as you sometimes do? I am having trouble seeing differences between the shades, but that could be the lighting or my computer screen. Your roundups always help me compare and contrast!
Yes, once I’m done!
I personally liked the very first one from all these you reviewed uptill now!!
Yay!!
I think this one might be my fave. I love the rose gold tint!
It’s very pretty!
Christine, I must say this one looks fantastic on you!!! It gives you that day outside or just exercised flushed glow 🙂
Thanks so much, Brenda! xo
Oooh this one looks so lovely on your skin, Christine! All that souffle talk these past days has really made me want to get one of these…
I just want a real souffle now 😉
DROOL!
YAY! Glad you liked this one!
This colour looks gorgeous on you!
Which colour of these Becca blushes would suit NC40 skintone?
Papaya/Topaz would be the one that would show up well! Otherwise, maybe Raspberry/Opal!
While the tint shimmers are so pretty to admire, this would not be so on my oily skin. However, I have been known to buy makeup just to look at it!
Maybe still worth trying if you get a chance! 🙂
I got this blindly off sephora because the others are sold out. I am glad you finally swatched this one and this is excatly how i want the hourglass to be! I remember returning it becuase it wasn’t glowy as it claims to be. This however… That’s a GLOW!
This is definitely a better formula if you really want shimmer!
This isn’t one that initially interested me, but it looks heavenly!
It turned out quite nicely!
This is my favorite of all the ones I’ve tried so far! It’s gorgeous on you Christine!
YAY! How are you liking the formula, Bekkah?
do you use your fingers or a brush to apply these?
I use a brush!
OK, this one is really pretty 😀 I think I like it the best so far! I kind of see what you mean about the pores thing, and I could actually see this working even better on a cooler skintone, oddly. Wow. This product both appeals to and confuses me, LOL!
Whatever the event, you look lovely as always! (*cough*damnyou*cough*) 😀
I think this one would be the most naturally flattering on cool tones!
Phew- i feel better about ordering this shade now. I keep checking to see if the others are back in stock yet so I can grab them up, and this shade is the only one left so I was starting to have my doubts about whether or not I should have gotten it. I love the guava and watermelon one soooo much- thus is by far my fave cream blush formula!
So glad you’re loving the formula, Genevieve! 🙂
Oooo, I’d love to use that as a highlighter.
It’s nice as a blush or highlighter!
I am not sure i am loving these. I LOVE dewy skin and am always buying products that promise that and never came across a highlight that was too much.. but for some reason these are reading bad very visible shimmer (which i didnt think existed ha!) to me. Maybe I have to try it.
Have you tried highlighters like MAC Extra Dimension Skinfiishes or MAC’s regular Skinfinishes? Those are both more pronounced to me!
The mix of gold shimmers in the shade came out really well on cheeks..looks beautiful on u.. 🙂
Aw, thanks Poo!
