Dior Pink Rose & Sparkling Peony Rouge Dior Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Pink Rose (466)
Dior Pink Rose (466) Rouge Dior Lip Color (2021) ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium, pink-leaning coral with a frosted finish. It had a lightweight, moderately emollient consistency that was thin without being clingy, so it applied fluidly across my lips but didn’t slide around while worn.
It had semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that went on evenly, though a touch of product settled into my deeper lip lines–not enough to be noticeable in person. This shade lasted well for four and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$40.00 -
The formula is supposed to have "radiant, longwear color" with "16 [hour] comfort." Based on the marketing, the "16 [hour] comfort" claim seems associated with how hydrating/smoothing the formula is, not necessarily the color itself, as it was tied to "lip caring" ingredients "red peony and pomegranate flower extracts."
From the shades I've tested, the pigmentation was semi-opaque to opaque, while the consistency was lightly emollient, smooth, and comfortable to apply across my lips in a fluid, one-stroke motion. The coverage was typically even, though the more metallic shades were more emollient than the other finishes and were a little more prone to settling into my lip lines than the satin, matte, and velvet finishes.
They wore between four and six hours with the matte and velvet shades lasting longer (six to eight), so some shades were more long-wearing than the average bullet lipstick. The formula was comfortable to wear and ranged from lightly hydrating to hydrating with the mattes being the least hydrating.
It was floral-scented with a very slight taste at times, though I did not consistently taste it.

Pink Rose (466)
LELimited Edition. $40.00.
Sparkling Peony (873)
Dior Sparkling Peony (873) Rouge Dior Lip Color (2021) ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark raspberry pink with cooler undertones and ruby red micro-sparkle throughout a more luminous finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing lip texture or my lip lines.
The texture was lightweight, emollient without being too slippery, and comfortable to apply and to wear. It stayed on well for five hours and felt hydrating over time.

these are gorgeous, sparkling peony especially!
Sparkling Peony is luscious and cheerful looking! Unfortunately, not something that would be mask friendly. Yet, I do love how it looks. Might get it and store it in my fridge until we can *someday* go maskless.
These are so gorgeous, but thankfully I am safe because Dior lipsticks tend to thrash my lips. They sure are pleasing to look at tho!
I love Sparkling Peony. Surprisingly, I don’t have any dupes. This is going to be hard to resist. I certainly do not need another lipstick but this is too pretty to resist.
Both are gorgeous shades, probably for either ends of the day – I think Dior Rose is a perfect daytime lipstick, whilst I could see Sparkling Peony beautiful for night.
Sparkling Peony, oh my 😍
It’s not often I see a lipstick and go “Wow!” but this one surprised me (in a very good way!), Dior did one called Mirza Mauve YEARS ago, it looked like a very boring brown in the tube but once applied, it was this incredible deep rosey metallic bronze and this is a completely different shade but a similar effect, I think. Love it ❤
They are both beautiful!
I only have a possible dupe for Sparkling Peony, and have quite a few dupes on my WL for both of them lipsticks.
I can’t justify buying any high end lipsticks right now, I still have hundreds of lip products, even after purging all that’s gone bad, or just had the wrong colour. I’ve also bought a few (10? 15?) new ones this fall.
Annoyingly they both are LE’s! How I love permanent makeup!
