Colour Pop Traviesa Lip Duo ($11.00 for 0.15 oz.) includes a deep purple matte, liquid lipstick and a deep purple lip pencil. The liquid lipstick was workable on its own, while the lip pencil was best paired with the liquid lipstick rather than worn as a standalone product (as some like to do). The liquid lipstick layered over the lip pencil definitely improved the overall application and opacity of the end result.
Traviesa is a deep purple with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It didn’t seem to dry down fully, even after waiting a solid 10 minutes, so it wasn’t as flat-matte as anticipated. It did, eventually, wear down to a flat-matte finish (about an hour).
The texture was very fluid, lightweight, and spreadable, but I would recommend taking a bit off the doe-foot applicator before applying as it was hard to control based on the volume and fluidity of the formula with a full pull of product. It had good pigmentation in a single layer that applied evenly and stayed on well for over six hours. The formula felt non-drying over time.

It is a long-wearing, pigmented lipstick that starts off glossy and dries down quickly to that super flat matte finish. They have minimal transfer with some of the lighter shades having almost none for the first few hours of wear, but any time you’ve had a meal, they lose that transfer-resistant quality to a noticeable degree. They tend to wear anywhere from six to ten hours with darker shades maintaining better color coverage and wear over a longer period of time.
Some shades get a little drying about two-thirds to three-fourths through the wear, while a few shades have been fairly non-drying even many hours into wear. They fade away evenly with most color loss occurring from the center of the lips if eating a more oil-based meal but the majority of color survives a meal.
Reapplication has been hit or miss and tends to depend on how well it wore away and how easily the shade applies normally, but reapplication tends to emphasize the lip’s natural texture significantly compared to initial application and gives lips a very wrinkled, dried-up look. I’ve layered gloss on top of some shades with moderate success, though it will obviously lose the matte finish and will transfer and I’ll get tiny flakes where the matte lip color has lifted by mixing with gloss but has been pretty minimal. The formula had no discernible taste or scent.

Traviesa is a deep purple with subtle, warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, and a second pass deepened the color quite a bit so it appeared truer-to-pencil in color. The texture was smooth with moderate glide, so I was able to apply with precision to line the edges of my lips. There wasn’t quite enough slip for it work as well for all-over color as it tended to go on unevenly with moderate tugging during application. The color wore well for over six hours and felt drying over time.
