ColourPop x Bambi Thumper Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Thumper
ColourPop Thumper 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that features new, rectangular pans with two matte eyeshadows, two shimmer eyeshadows, and one sparkle-matte eyeshadow. They came together better on the lid than I expected, but there was a lot of fallout; like to the point where after each use of product, I had to hold the palette over a trash can to tap out the excess to use another color because the kick up was really THAT much.
Everything was incredibly powdery, despite being fairly pigmented and blendable, so if fallout isn’t a deal-breaker, it might be lovely. It’s just so much more powdery than even recent ColourPop palettes!

Miss Bunny
Miss Bunny is a medium peach with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The texture was slightly drier and more loosely-pressed, so it applied best by packing it on with a pressing or patting motion, though I’d use it with a dampened brush for better, smoother adhesion and to minimize fallout. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Friend Owl
Friend Owl is a very light taupe with neutral undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a moderately powdery consistency that was prone to fallout during application.
I found it worked well layered with the other two matte shades in the palette, but it turned grayish when used with less gray-toned shades (going outside the palette) so it would need to be used before other, more mid-tone and deeper shades. It lasted for seven and a half hours on me before fading visibly.

I'm Thumpin'
I’m Thumpin’ is a very light green with strong, warm golden undertones and a slightly less warm-toned pearl that gave it a soft, frosted sheen. It had opaque color coverage that applied well to bare skin and diffused easily. The texture was a little drier, so it didn’t sit as flatteringly on my skin as some of the brand’s other shimmers have without really pressing it into the skin (or using it damp).

Long Ears
Long Ears is a light taupe with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a soft, blendable texture that was moderately powdery and prone to some fallout during application as a result. It wasn’t quite as powdery as the other matte shades in the palette, though. This shade stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Great Big Feet
Great Big Feet is a medium-dark taupe with cool, almost purplish, undertones and a matte finish with loose sparkle throughout. The sparkles did not bind with the underlying eyeshadow, so there was a lot of fallout from the sparkles, but the texture itself was also quite powdery, which resulted in additional fallout.
I was surprised that the opaque coverage actually… maintained despite so much fallout and excess product kicked up in the pan. It lasted decently for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

It’s good, but not great – the shades worked better together than I originally thought. But I do think this mini is more trouble to apply than it’s worth. Thank you for the review Christine.
Cute, but I have to admit….the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was that it was the shy, quiet sister to the Too Faced Shake Your Palm Palms mini tin palette. It’s crazy similar. Also, Long Ears looks like a good alternative for when you run out of Mac Haux for a transition shade. I hope it does well.
Too bad! This was the one I wanted and if it’s not great I’m just not going to spring (ha ha!) for it. Thanks for your review!
I sure was hoping for better, but knew from the swatches it would prove problematic. More surprised at how it fell short. Thought the shades would be weak and apply patchy, instead it’s fallout city.
I like this. Years ago I made dupe lists of shades I had in-stash for palettes I liked. This is one: dupes that apply better, but live all over the place. Most of the Thumper dupes are not depotted, so they can’t be pulled and put into the Ofra easel palette for easy use. Just getting Equinox depotted would nearly cover this. This one is too dusty to consider, but I love the simple look.
Could be better, but I still want it. I like cooler tones and sometimes just want something light to wear to work instead of super pigmented and saturated shades. Plus, it’s Thumper!
What a pity with the kick up, it’s worse than fall outs during application for me, as I always do the foundation after the eyes,
So it seems Thumper will not cross the Atlantic, a pity, I like the cool to neutral mattes in the palette a lot.
i really like the idea of this color story and am inspired to build my own palette using singles I already own.
I’m not super surprised as to the level of powderiness. I find the Lil Ray of Sunshine, Big Poppy, At Forest Sight palettes are way more powdery than the single eyeshadows I own from the brand. I don’t know what is going on with their formula.
