ColourPop Strip & Strut Ultra Satin Liquid Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Strip
ColourPop Strip Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium peachy brown with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly across the lips. The consistency was thin but with substance, so there was plenty of coverage while it was still spreadable. The formula on this shade seemed to be a little drier than most Ultra Satins, which became more noticeable after three hours of wear as the color itself started to look more matte and more like a traditional liquid lipstick. The lipstick lasted for nearly six and a half hours but was drying over time. The scent of this also seemed to be much waxier than I recall as well, though I did not notice any scent once I applied it to my lips.

Formula Overview

It is supposed to be a “lightweight, bold lipstick with a satin finish”liquid lipstick that is “extra intense colour saturation” and “long-wearing,” but the brand is quick to note that it is “not completely kiss proof.” The consistency is very light to lightweight with a thin to mousse-like consistency–they feel a little heavier going on than the Ultra Matte formula, but they don’t feel heavy on. They dry down somewhat, but it isn’t a full, flat dry down like matte liquid lipsticks, and when you press your lips together, there is moderate tackiness there, but I didn’t notice any lifting or separating of color by doing so.
They have been extremely long-wearing and comfortable to wear for the most part–it’s after ten hours or so that I notice my lips feeling a little dry–but six hours into wear and the colors have looked good post-meals/post-drinking. I think if you like the idea of longer-wearing, mostly matte lip color but find most liquid lipsticks too drying or too flat while not needing an ultra-hydrating formula, you might like these.

Strut
ColourPop Strut Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark taupe brown with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had a smooth, thin texture that spread well across the lips but had enough density that it yielded full color coverage in a single layer. The formula was comfortable to wear over the six and a half hours it lasted and only felt slightly drying in the last hour of wear. I did have a bit of color that had pulled into my lip lines noticeably after four hours of wear, but I could smooth the color out by rubbing my lips together (one of the perks of the Ultra Satin formula!).

I actually love both! As to which one I may order today, I would probably get whichever one looked like nothing I currently own. So probably Strut? I’m worried that Strip may be too close to UD Liar, which is one of 2 perfect “nude” shades on me.
I could Strip being close enough to Liar to skip!
I really like Strut.
Awesome!
me too
Both are really nice looking. I think I prefere Strut for myself. I think I’ve finally figured out sort of how nude lipcolours should look to suit my colouring. Seems a whole new world opened up 🙂
Strut seems to be the fave!
I’v been itching to break out of my comfort zone and try a shade like Strut!! It’s so unique and under repped in my collection!!!
A nice, affordable way to try something outside of your comfort zone!
Too warm for me but I feel Strut will be a big hit.
It should be!
I would like to know a equivalent from colourpop in matte
All dupes that I know of are already posted!
