ColourPop Sparkler Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Sparkler
ColourPop Sparkler Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes a bronze shimmer eyeshadow, two brown matte eyeshadows, and one “glitter metallic” shade, which was listed as not for use around the eye area (it included plastic, or PET, glitter in the ingredient list). All four shades were semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blendable, and lasted decently, though the glittery shade had fallout and was more loosely-pressed.

Extra Bubbly
Extra Bubbly is a light-medium copper with strong, warm golden undertones and a metallic finish that also had flecks of random, small-sized glitter strewn throughout. This shade was marked as not intended for use around the eye area, and it included plastic (PET) glitter.
The consistency was more loosely-pressed, slightly drier, so there was fallout from the base as well as the glitter (which did not seem to add any visual impact, just contributed to fallout!). It had opaque pigmentation that lasted well for eight hours, aside from light fallout over time.

Sweet On
Sweet On is a light-medium, golden bronze with warm undertones and a smooth, metallic sheen. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which adhered nicely to bare skin. The texture was moderately dense but not stiff to work with, so the product picked up evenly with a dry brush and blended out well. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Seltzer (Sparkler)
Seltzer (Sparkler) is a medium-dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a slightly thinner consistency compared to the other matte in the quad, so there was no fallout but it had to be built up for higher coverage. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Cool Cola
Cool Cola is a rich, dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage with a soft, smooth texture that was more substantial without being too powdery or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It applied evenly and blended out without difficulty. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Christine hi unrelated but can you do a post on ghe best liquid lipsticks to wear under a mask? I’m especially looking for nudes as I’m less worried about transfer with them. Thanks so much, I love what you do!
*the sorry!!
The best would just be any that actually dry down fully, so they won’t transfer or move under a mask! Something like NARS Power Pigments!
I actually love the colour story of this little quad and I think it is quite cohesive. I do wish there was one more shimmer….
These quads are great except for the pressed glitter…
I’m surprised that I like this as much as I do – just looking at the main photo, I thought it would be way too warm to appeal to me, but like Genevieve, I find it quite appealing. But the shade I like most (Extra Bubbly) is the one with the PET glitter. I know when I commented last time about just not understanding why Colour Pop keeps including a product “not for use around the eye area” when so many commenters here won’t use it, another poster basically gave me a slap in the chops about how she loves shadows with PET glitter, uses them all the time, how wonderful they are, etc. etc. So many of us here lament the inclusion of this “non-eye-safe” ingredient in products meant FOR THE EYES and we’re not willing to risk our eye health in this way.
Amen to all you said Mariella! PET glitter does NOT belong in items meant to be used on or around the eyes. Very simple and common sense. Whoever blasted you was being obtuse!
PET glitter. Pfft! This one *could have been a perfect deep chocolate brown quad if not for having a gorgeous, yet unusable copper caramel shade. 😫
I bought this before I realized it had PET glitter, but now that I have it, I don’t really mind. I usually hate glitter, but it’s so small in size and such a small amount mixed into the shimmer, I feel fine using it. It’s a great deep quad!
