ColourPop Secret Admirer Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Secret Admirer
ColourPop Secret Admirer 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($14.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a new, red-themed palette that included coral to fuchsia to red shades. There were four shimmer shades and five matte shades. There was some redundancy, as it ended up being a more monochromatic color story, so it was better used with a few shades rather than extending to all or most of them.

With Love
With Love is a light, dusty coral with warmer undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had full pigmentation, while the texture was smooth, velvety, and a little powdery but not prone to sheering out too readily. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

2 Cute
2 Cute is a neon fuchsia pink with strong, cool blue undertones and a frosted finish. The texture was firmer and stiffer to work with, so I had to really push at the surface using the edge of my brush to get product to come off the pan. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation that wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

C U Tonite
C U Tonite is a deep, coppery plum with warm, red undertones and a metallic finish. It had a soft, more yielding consistency that felt loosely-pressed while still being more emollient, so it adhered exceptionally well to bare skin and yielded full pigmentation. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Not bad, but I’m fairly certain that I have enough similar shades to the reds and corals. Those neon pinks are just not my thing, even though I DO use the neon pink in PML Divine Rose II Mothership.
Not sure if this is just my phone playing tricks on me, but I can’t see the dupe list, instead there is only the formula overview showing after each shade…
Gah! I put in dupes for the other CP palette I wrote up thinking that was the first to publish. It should be fixed now!
Thank you
I think I’ll order one for me and one for Genevieve! (just joshin’). As much as I don’t like the colours, they certainly fit with the Valentine’s theme. But that one lone heart shaped pan bothers me….I wouldn’t have minded it smack in the middle but lopsidedly in the bottom corner like that kind of offends my sense of symmetry (and I do like asymmetrical things generally, but that just bugs me)
Thanks Mariella! I could really see you loving this palette (NOT!)
The only shade I liked was C U Tonite – a really nice cranberry shade, but this certainly fill the Valentine’s Day brief from CP.
As expected, like a third of the long list of dupes is Colourpop. They can do these colors well though.
I kind of love this (and ColourPop in general) so I may pick it up. Do I need it? Definitely not but I do want it.
