ColourPop Roaring Hearts Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Roaring Hearts
ColourPop Roaring Hearts 10-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($16.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a new warm-toned neutral palette for the holiday season. It included six matte eyeshadows and four shimmer eyeshadows. The matte eyeshadows performed better compared to the shimmers, as two of the four shimmers were drier and more prone to fallout.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

I would be a fool to buy this but it is so pretty! I like the layout, too, with the two rows of round pans.
The beautiful olive green shade saves this palette from being just run of the mill to something quite nice. Just wish there were more good shimmer shades.
Yet again, you and I are drawn to the same shades. But for me, there are too many colours that lean heavily to the orange side when swatched so it’s a painless “not for me”.
This is my idea of a “naked” palette! I really hadn’t expected to be as drawn to this as I am, but it feels like a nicely curated day-into-night type palette.
The packaging is so late Zoeva, in the Art Deco design, framing detail around the 10 pans, etc. Color story is nicely muted. With the oranges leaning yellow, there is no red vibe at all. Not sure we ever saw a 10 pan muted retro palette in a Zoeva suit before. Funny how you can really like s.t. that would look horrid on you.
I feel as though this palette looks dated. Like a realise from influencer brand like Dominique Cosmetics or Laura Lee Los Angeles or even KKW beauty, but from 2016. Not to be too negative though, its very pretty and might be good for someones first neutral palette. But then again Colourpop have some really nice neutral palettes like Going Coconuts and Thats Taupe which have more originality while still being neutral and beginner friendly.
Same old story!! Money saved for me. This would be great for a beginner that wanted a reasonably priced palette (but many more greater performing reasonable palettes out there)
