Tarnish is a medium-dark gold with strong,w arm undertones and a lightly sparkled, metallic finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, while the texture felt a bit drier and more loosely-pressed so there was light fallout during application. I'd recommend using a dampened brush or fingertip for application if fallout is a deal-breaker. It was still better than some of Melt's recent shimmer shades, though. On me, I noticed faint fading after eight hours of wear and a smidgen of fallout over time.
