Devotion is a medium-dark black with neutral undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff with a slightly firmer texture. It took some extra effort to diffuse and even out the product on the lid, though if I only used it to darken another shade, it wasn't problematic. This shade wore well for eight hours on me.
