ColourPop Peace Love Libra Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Peace Love Libra
ColourPop Peace Love Libra Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes two shimmers (peachy-coral, light-medium pink) and two matte shades (light pink, darker coral). One shimmer and one matte were on the more powdery side, while the other two shades were better in texture, though all four shades were pigmented and wore for seven to eight hours on me.

Aesthetics
Aesthetics is a medium, peachy-coral base with cooler pink iridescent shimmer. It had opaque color coverage with a soft, lightly powdery consistency that had a touch of fallout during application. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

A Muse Me
A Muse Me is a brighter, medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and lighter, warmer gold shimmer throughout a metallic finish. It had rich pigmentation paired with a smooth, blendable texture with slight powderiness in the pan, and it wasn’t too firmly-pressed into the pan nor too thick. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Social Butterfly
Social Butterfly is a light-medium pink with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had opaque color payoff in a single layer, but the texture was somewhat powdery, so there was fallout if I wasn’t careful about my application, and it sheered out a little in practice. It wore decently for seven and a half hours on me before fading a bit.

Why is it that everything with my Zodiac sign (Bite had a lipstick collection for everyone’s star sign and Libra in that was dreadful for me too) is something totally unappealing to me???
Yep, I find a lot of brands who do the star signs for either lipsticks and eyeshadows are definitely not my colours either. Technically I am a Scorpio, but was born early and was really meant to be a Sagistarius. My personality is more Sagitarius, but my twin sister is definitely a Scorpio.
Another really pretty looking quad out of this collection! I especially love the two shimmer shades with their prismatic effect.
I think is quite a muted coral kind of palette, perhaps more suited to spring/summer, but quite good in quality.
I guess you folks will be moving into springtime just as we are moving into autumn and so perhaps it’s wrong headed or “northern-hemisphere-centric” of me to think of Libra as an autumn zodiac sign, but I wish this had contained typical “autumn” shades of dark green, bronze, etc. – the sorts of colours that were in Chanel’s Tisse d’automne. Apologies for the “northern-hemisphere-centric” thinking!
