On Display
ColourPop On Display Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep red with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly on the lips. It had a smooth, creamy consistency that glided across my lips fluidly and was comfortable to wear (though not hydrating) over five and a half hours.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.12 oz. - $83.33 Per Ounce
The formula that is supposed to be a "creamy-matte" that "glides on like butter, doesn't feather or bleed, and lasts so long you'll forget you're even wearing it." The majority of the shades were quite pigmented with full color payoff in a single stroke with a few in the more semi-opaque coverage range.
The texture was, on average, smooth, lightly creamy, and not too thick or too thin, so there was no tugging during application but the color didn't feel slippery while worn, which made them easier to apply straight from the tube and low-maintenance on the lips.
They tend to dry and wear down to a soft matte finish within one to three hours of wear, and while they are very lightweight on, they hug the lips more as they become more matte (compared to initial feel). The wear time has been between four and six hours for most shades, and most shades were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They were vanilla-scented but had no discernible taste.

Liquid Courage
ColourPop Liquid Courage Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, rusty red with warm undertones and a cream finish. The color payoff was fantastic–opaque in a single stroke–that drenched lips in even, smooth color. The lipstick was smooth, creamy without being too slippery or thick, and glided on easily. It stayed on nicely for five and a half hours and was lightly hydrating.

Hello Stranger
ColourPop Hello Stranger Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deep burgundy with cool undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips despite not being full coverage (and it did not build up either). The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being thick or heavy, and it was comfortable to wear. On me, it wore well for six hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly hydrating.

Love ‘em all. Thank god they’re perm. And not as duped as I might have thought.
I was just scrolling down, thinking how On Display is a great summer colour, when I saw Liquid Courage and Hello Stranger – what absolutely divine shades. Stunning – fantastic ratings and a sterling price.
These all look so rich and they apply so nicely, that one may easily mistake them for much more expensive lipsticks!
Unfortunately, I have dupes for all 3. With MAC Media definitely not applying as flawlessly as Hello Stranger.
Wow! Along 3 with great reviews! And the price of these too…amazing. Thanks Christine for the reviews. Will now certainly buy on display! Love a good matte red even if I own several of th dupes. ??
On Display is NICE! I love a good deep, cool-tone red. Might need to pick that up when I finally buy Getty.
Need Hello Stranger in my life. lol
I think this just adds to the fact that higher end brands need to majorly step up their game since drugstore products are outperforming many of them lately. There’s just no reason to spend the extra money on most products, unless you want fancy packaging!
These are all very pretty! I’m glad they performed well and that this lipstick line from ColourPop is doing well.
What a great color range they’ve come up with, great job.
Hello Stranger looks so gorgeous compared to how you described it. When I was reading the description and then looked at the lips, I almost thought you had described the wrong shade because, despite what may be a lack of full pigmentation, it applies SO WELL!!!! A lot of people have been comparing the formula for these new lipsticks to the original Lippie Stix formula and saying they are exactly the same but I feel like this appears to be a vast improvement on their original product line.
Just a side thought — Christine, I would love to see a video of you applying your lipstick, or maybe just your full makeup. Temptalia is already so in-depth and I CERTAINLY do not believe that you should have to do video walkthroughs of every look. However, out of all the people on YouTube/Instagram that I’ve seen do their makeup on camera, I WANT to see you more. I feel like you are truly a wealth of makeup knowledge and would love to see that in action. Ju-u-u-u-u-ust a thought!
On Display is my fave out of the three but they are all stunning and I’m really struggling with my no buy now.
