ColourPop Night Bloom Blush Review & Swatches
Night Bloom
ColourPop Night Bloom Pressed Powder Blush ($8.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a brighter, medium lavender with cooler undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage–so more than true buildable but not intensely pigmented–that could be used with a slightly lighter hand for true, buildable coverage if desired.
The texture was soft, silky to the touch, and wasn’t too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan, which made it easy to pick up a variety of brushes. The blush applied well to bare skin and blended out with minimal effort, which was a bit of a surprise as sometimes the more matte blushes in this formula can stick or become harder to blend without powdering first. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly" and have a "natural and healthy flush" that has "long wear" and "can be layered to your desired intensity." It is a lightly to moderately powdery powder blush with semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable color payoff. The consistency has a drier, thinner feel and though it feels silky to the touch, I found it the type of powder blush can be tricky to blend out evenly on the skin, depending on one's skin type or base preferences. The drier the skin/base, the better the formula would blend, but any natural oils or slip caused the blush to go on unevenly and was difficult to blend out. The wear was between seven and eight hours on me on average.

This reminds me of Mac Venomous Villans Briar Rose in way and I miss that blush so much.
This is sooo pretty applied! However, the only lavender blush that has ever worked with my skintone is UD Bittersweet Afterglow Blush. It has a much less pastel base than Night Bloom, to be sure.
I love lavender blushes. I ordered this one, so I’m glad it got a good grade. I don’t have a good dupe for it.
Ooohh…another goodie! This is quite tempting…and I already have CP Whirl, Nars Sex Fantasy, and Clinique Pansy Pop. This might be just different enough.
I was wondering how this compared to the single blush ‘Whirl’ and Clinique’s Pansy Pop
Mine is on the way!
Also, I thought these were only $8 each? I know the eyeshadow palette went up from $18 to $20 though, so maybe it’s different?
I’m not sure – either they adjusted it back down or there was another powder blush that was at $10 and overrode the data.
This, (bundled with the lip oil because it was sold out on its own) was this only purchase I made from that collection. I was so tempted by the palette, but I just bought a bunch of singles from colourpop and Devinah. I hhave the colourpop pansy pop, so I a curious to see how the two purples compare.
