ColourPop Meet Me On the Other Side Super Shock Highlighter Review & Swatches
Meet Me on the Other Side
ColourPop Meet Me on the Other Side Super Shock Cheek (Highlighter) ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a light, golden copper with strong, warm undertones and a sparkling, frosted finish. The shimmer was a bit larger and while I didn’t feel it emphasized my skin’s texture, it didn’t hide any of it, either, and those who may feel like that’s a concern and/or have more texture than I do, it might do so–it just had a more frost-like and less sheen-like finish to my eye. The texture was smooth, emollient without being too slippery, and easy to apply with fingertips or brushes, though brushes will give sheerer and more buildable coverage compared to fingertips. I applied it by patting the product onto the apples of my cheeks and then using the side of my fingertip (with little to no product) to spread and diffuse the edges. It lasted nicely for 10 hours on me without fading.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.15 oz. - $66.67 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage and can be applied with fingertips (which will yield "higher coverage") or a brush (for sheerer coverage). It's a cream-based product that has a subtle, "wet" feel to it but never has the thickness of a true cream-based blush.
It goes on with the smoothness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting up one's base) more like a powder product. The product sets to a powder finish, so the product won't slide around during the day.
On me, the wear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium, buildable pigmentation with some being semi-opaque to opaque on occasion. They are typically blendable, easy to use, and long-wearing.

I’m really holding back on this CP Disney Villains line. I love Dr Facilier (I even met him at the Magic Kingdom a few Halloweens ago!), but this shade is not made for my coloring. And overall, I don’t see very much in the Villains line that really stands out for me. And even if there was one item I really wanted (like Maleficent lipstick), spending $11 for a $5 lipstick (when you add in shipping) doesn’t make it worth it. Ugh, I have such mixed emotions on this line!
When I saw Shae on YT live swatch this entire collection (on her own face), I fell in love with this shade! Especially when she expressed that she thought this would be stunning on darker medium up through deep skintones. I just knew I’d have to get it, plus the metallic looking champagne for Maleficient and Cruella’s very icy nearly platinum one, as well.
