ColourPop Mauvin' Up Palette Review & Swatches
Mauvin' Up
ColourPop Mauvin’ Up 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($14.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a new, permanent addition for Target’s core collection of products available online and in-store. The palette is more of a plum-toned palette to my eye than actually mauve, though! The shimmers were more loosely-pressed, but the mattes were very nice.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

This is actually a very pretty palette – love the mauve gradated shimmers.
This is one that I really love! All the plummy goodness of it would light my eyes up, for sure. And that being said, I would buy it for travel, as I would not want to bring my ND or PMG Labs palettes traveling!
I’m glad this second round of Target releases is performing more consistent with CP’s normal quality!
These are my shades! But I’m sure I have dupes for every one of them. I’ve also been spoiled by Dior and Denona palettes over the past couple months, so I’m going to activate my strongest willpower and pass on this one.
I really like the more toned down finish of the shimmers, almost satin-like which is rare these days. The palette may be too pink leaning for me though.
