ColourPop Knew Idea Lippie Stix Set Review & Swatches
Knew Idea
ColourPop Knew Idea Lippie Stix Set ($25.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes six shades across cream, satin, and matte finishes. Four shades were very good and consistent with their respective finishes, while one (I Like It) was a little slippery and one was denser/dragging (Fast as You).

LELimited Edition. $33.00.
I Like It
I Like It is a muted, dark peach with warm, orange undertones and a glossy, cream finish. The texture was smooth, moderately creamy, and had noticeable slip that developed slight tackiness within about 15 minutes of wear, which helped it slide around a bit less. The color coverage was nearly opaque in a single layer, and for as emollient as it was, it didn’t settle into my lip lines very noticeably. The color wore nicely for five hours on me and was lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.0352 oz. - $198.86 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full coverage" with a "long-wearing, ultra comfortable" feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.
The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.
The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don't go on as evenly as they could. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

LELimited Edition. $7.00.
I'm Upset
I’m Upset is a deep coral-red with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The lipstick had rich color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly but had a tendency to split along my deeper lip lines. The texture was lightweight, velvety, and smooth, which helped it apply without dragging and yet had a flatter, matte finish. It stayed on well for over six hours and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.0352 oz. - $170.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full-coverage" with a "super matte" finish that has a "lightweight and velvety feel." I'd agree with all of those things--most shades were opaque while a few were more semi-opaque to mostly opaque. The texture has a silicone-heavy feel to it, so it has the velvety slip that used to be more typical of face primers than lip products, but this silicone-heavy type of formula has made its way into lip products to give a more matte finish with a smoother, more velvety consistency. The consistency feels a bit denser, though it remains lightweight, and usually delivers even coverage in a single stroke that doesn't tug. The formula wears anywhere from four to eight hours on me, and it is typically neither drying nor hydrating. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Fast as You
Fast as You is a deep magenta with cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had opaque pigmentation with a dense, firmer texture that dragged somewhat when applied in a fluid motion; it was comfortable to apply in short strokes. The texture was a little tacky on, but it lasted for over six hours and left a stain behind. The formula neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Thousand Percent
Thousand Percent is a deep burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. The color coverage was opaque in a single layer that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. The texture was velvety and glided across my lips ease but didn’t feel wet or slippery, so it adhered well for longwear–it was still going strong after six hours of wear. The lipstick didn’t feel drying nor did it feel hydrating over time.

I Ain't Bad Atcha
I Ain’t Bad Atcha is a bright, medium orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented and had a smooth, velvety texture that glided across my lips with ease but didn’t feel slippery on. The pigmentation applied evenly, but there was a smidgen of product that pulled into my deeper lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. This shade stayed on nicely for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating to me.

Nice diverse set, great price. My favorites here are Girl Gang and Fast As You. But I have dupes for both.
There are two things I don’t like about CP’s Lippie Stix:
1. I think the magic marker packaging is ugly. Not something I’d want to take out of my bag for a touch-up on a nice night out.
2. I hate the word lippie. It gets on my nerves for some irrational reason. Some people hate the word “moist”…I hate the word “lippie.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ok, that said…I love the Lippie Stix formula, which is what truly counts. The three Lippie Stix that I already own are fantastic.
What’s interesting about the word Lippie is that is quite popular in certain parts of the world!
I think we’ve had this conversation before…Lol!!
I know people who like the word lippie. It’s just me. (And I think they’d look a lot nicer if the tube was black instead of white.)
Oh, I just meant more in the vein of: I wonder if it is because it’s not common day-to-day here that it bothers you 🙂
Nah, it’s just me! I’m weird! 😀
I wouldn’t say that – it’s regularly complained about from what I’ve seen!
Seraphine, it’s not just you. The word makes me cringe for some reason.
I like the color selection in this set a lot. I think it’s perfect for fall.
It is so fall-colored!
Very solid quality in this set. Runs a little too much on the orange side for me, though. Plus, it would seem that I’ve got great dupes for 4 out of 6 shades, so I’m good. ?
Phew 😀
These looks really good and I like a Thousand Percent, but I wish it were in a glossier finish.
I could see it working nicely with a satin finish!
