ColourPop Heavy Petal Palette Review & Swatches

Heavy Petal
ColourPop Heavy Petal 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($22.00 for 0.3 oz.) is a new, limited edition warm-toned, neutral palette for spring that included one pressed glitter, five shimmers, and six mattes. The quality was consistent with ColourPop’s formulas: the shimmers were pigmented, blendable, and easy enough to use, while the mattes were pigmented, lightly powdery, and blendable.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Pretty nice for a spring palette! However, I’m actually looking at a *potential* bundle or palette from SG that is way more spring-like. Giving me 🦄🧚🧞 vibes!
A pretty spring palette with the neutrals and the pops of colour. Shame it has the PET glitter in it though.
Again, concur with your Genevieve! I really like this little palette with the ever-so-subtle twists in the colors of the shimmers, but Thrive is out (although I could use it, I’m not much of a glitters person).
I have never bought a color pop palette.. I am exhausted just watching all the releases and I notice EVERY YB declutter – they start with CP first! they just seem to overkill it.. thus cheapening the brand
I agree. And it seems to be the same shades over and over. I’m a makeup packrat, so it’s difficult for me to declutter. But if I can get myself to do it, I have about 10 CP palettes that I will probably never use again.
First palette they’ve don in a while that I’d consider as a few of the colors are as easy a dupe as I thought at first. Really like “Full Sun” and “Feelin’ Grounded”!
