Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

The Colourpop Blush Stix intrigued me this week, as did the CoverFX blush duos. I pulled the trigger on the ND Sunrise palette , although, looking at my collection of shadow palettes, I didn’t need! I really love the formula and the size of it! Im definitely going on a no- buy now–makeup only—-there are skincare sales coming up that I may indulge in!

I am with you on that! When I was a little girl my grandparents lived on a small farm in the middle of western Montana. They were very conservative people and really didn’t leave the farm much at all. One day when they were visiting a neighboring town to get groceries, my grandmother purchased a can of paint and went home and painted the only bathroom in the house. Mind you, nothing was painted anything but white. She painted it a pretty close facsimile of this color but without the shimmer, of course. It remained painted that colour for the rest of her life. It was something between a plum and fuchsia and I think that is why I love berries and plums so much today. I thought she was a style icon and everyone else in the family thought she had gone round the bend. My grandfather was very much in charge on the farm but he never said a word to her about the colour. Probably realized he hadn’t better or he might not get anything to eat for awhile. Such a great memory.

Great story! Sometimes you just need color. 🙂

If I were serious about painting my walls this color (and I kind of am), I’d research how to get a shimmer effect as well. I know there are glazing effects paints out there in the real world — totally a possibility!
