ColourPop Darling & Mrs. Ultra Satin Liquid Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Darling
ColourPop Darling Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a deep plum with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer with a smooth, fluid consistency that was too thin or too thick, so it spread easily across the lips but did not slide around once on. There was a light tackiness to the texture after a couple of minutes, but pressing my lips together did not lift any color. The sheen wore down after three and a half hours of wear. The color stayed on well for over six hours and was non-drying.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.11 oz. - $63.64 Per Ounce
It is supposed to be a “lightweight, bold lipstick with a satin finish”liquid lipstick that is “extra intense colour saturation” and “long-wearing,” but the brand is quick to note that it is “not completely kiss proof.” The consistency is very light to lightweight with a thin to mousse-like consistency–they feel a little heavier going on than the Ultra Matte formula, but they don’t feel heavy on. They dry down somewhat, but it isn’t a full, flat dry down like matte liquid lipsticks, and when you press your lips together, there is moderate tackiness there, but I didn’t notice any lifting or separating of color by doing so.
They have been extremely long-wearing and comfortable to wear for the most part–it’s after ten hours or so that I notice my lips feeling a little dry–but six hours into wear and the colors have looked good post-meals/post-drinking. I think if you like the idea of longer-wearing, mostly matte lip color but find most liquid lipsticks too drying or too flat while not needing an ultra-hydrating formula, you might like these.

Darling
LELimited Edition. $7.00.
Mrs.
ColourPop Mrs. Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is a dusty, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a satin finish. The consistency was a bit thicker than the average Ultra Satin from what I could tell, and it had less of a sheen as well. It was still fluid and easy to spread across the lips but almost felt mousse-like. It had rich, opaque pigmentation that covered the lips evenly with just a smidgen of color that sat in my deeper lip lines. The lipstick lasted for six and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.

Both are lovely, but Darling is a real winner.
Darling was gorgeous!
Darling lipstick goes so well with the Fem Rosa shadows! Love this collection -it’s feminine and bold at the same time!
It does!
Ooh, I love Mrs.! I already own 11 of their Ultra Satin lipsticks, but not this one!
I’m a huge fan of the Ultra Satin family!
Love the shades and price point! I think Mrs would be the perfect everyday my lip but better shade!
This formula is quite good!
I have its dupe, dolce vita. I’m a redhead too and it is the most perfect color!
After how disappointing the ABH SC palette turned out to be, I sure am pleased as punch to see these beauties! Darling is my jam! Mrs. looks sweet, too. Especially as a summer, even a late summer going into autumn shade.
LOL!
Oh, wow. Darling is beautiful. Just might have to have that one?
Agreed!
what is on your cheeks? looks AMAZING w/ MRS. <3
Very pretty shades, I must say.
I bought the bundle which includes the gloss and I have to say that these colors are so beautiful! I wasn’t goi g to buy them but darling won me over and wanted mrs. Because I find the color to be more unique than the average pinkish coral. The collection is really beautiful
Christine, do you remember what cheek product(s) you were wearing in these pics? So pretty!
It happened again! Got Darling today. Tried it. Major darker, and maybe they call it satin, but this one is def matte. On me, Not all CP satins dry matte in lieu of satin. But all CPs DO dry far darker than I would expect, given your swatches and the tube color. Darling is darker than LAX! Whatever. CP only leads to minor disappointments. Not like it’s hg confession or Pat. Def not my-lips-are-different-than-yours issue. I think it’s chemistry, not lip color. And since this is CP only (thus far) it’s prob a CP ingredient that darkens it up.
