ColourPop Button Lippie Stix
ColourPop Button Lippie Stix

ColourPop Button Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.0357 oz.) is described as a “pale creamy peach nude [with a satin finish].” It’s a light-medium, pink-tinged peach with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a lightly creamy consistency that didn’t tug or drag on the lips but doesn’t have a lot of slip, so the color wears a little longer for me (almost five hours). It was neither drying nor hydrating. The formula seems thin enough to me that if you have drier lips, it may catch on flakes/imperfections so you may want to consider prepping lips prior to applying this. Bite Beauty Leche (P, $24.00) is a smidgen lighter. Bite Beauty Amaretto (P, $24.00) is browner. Tom Ford Beauty First Time (09) (LE, $50.00) is a touch pinker, more muted. NARS Julie (P, $32.00) is pinker, glossier. NARS Brigitte (P, $32.00) is pinker, glossier. NARS Descanso (LE, $25.00) is darker. Givenchy Beige Plume (102) (P, $36.00) is lighter. ColourPop Rocket Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.0357 oz.) is described as a “soft bright pinky coral [with a satin finish].” It’s a bright, light-medium pink with warm undertones and a satiny sheen. It was thicker and more emollient than other shades I’ve tried with a “satin finish,” but it had the full color coverage you’d expect from it. It applied easily as it glided over lips without dragging, and it covered evenly. On me, this shade wore well for five hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. Tom Ford Beauty Patrick (LE, $32.00) is lighter, more muted. Bite Beauty Tatin (P, $24.00) is lighter, more muted. NARS Natalie (P, $32.00) is darker. MAC Love Temple (LE, $22.00) is warmer, darker. Marc Jacobs Beauty Wham (604) (P, $28.00) is darker. Givenchy Corail Decollete (303) (P, $36.00) is darker. Givenchy Rose Boudoir (204) (P, $36.00) is more muted. Bite Beauty Damask (LE, $28.00) is cooler-toned. Sephora Collection Flamingo (LE, $12.50) is cooler-toned. Revlon Snow Peach (LE, $7.99) is darker, warmer. MAC Be a Lady (P, $22.00) is glossier. Tom Ford Beauty Paradiso (07) (LE, $49.00) is darker, glossier. Too Faced Bon Bon (P, $22.00) is warmer, glossier. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I asked about shipping to the UK and they said they are working on it so international should be available eventually! They also recommended a shipping forwarding service but I’m a bit hesitant at the moment because of extra fees and shipping prices without knowing the weight in advance. Eventually the list of ColourPop items I like the look of will grow so big that I’ll cave and buy some..! >.<

I have Button! It looks great on you. It’s actually about that shade on me, too, but I’m not used to wearing such a “light” shade yet, haha, I wear a lot of berries and mauves. I’ve ended up applying the Button liner underneath, which is a brownish color, and it makes a deeper version of the same peach-pink shade. Also, now I’m REALLY leaning towards getting Rocket… In your pictures it looks bright, but not neon. Would you say it’s like that in natural daylight/real life, too? 😀

These look so good on you! They set very badly into every line in my lips. I moisturize and scrub my lips regularly, but it doesn’t help with these. I also use a base. Any suggestion? I love the colors and they feel good on.

Hi Christine!
Do you know any good dupe for the MAC Viva Glam Nicki 1 in the colourpop range? To me, rocket seems a very similar finish and shade, but I would like to know what you think! Fetch is another one which looks pretty close. Thank you in advance! 🙂
