ColourPop Butter & Brick Lux Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Butter
ColourPop Butter Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium peach with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had a smooth, creamy consistency that felt a little thicker than the average Lux lipstick, and there was a bit of extra slip, too. There was a touch of product that sat in my deeper lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It had rich, opaque color payoff in a single stroke that went on evenly. This shade stayed on well for four and a half hours and was felt lightly moisturizing.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.12 oz. - $83.33 Per Ounce
The formula that is supposed to be a "creamy-matte" that "glides on like butter, doesn't feather or bleed, and lasts so long you'll forget you're even wearing it." The majority of the shades were quite pigmented with full color payoff in a single stroke with a few in the more semi-opaque coverage range.
The texture was, on average, smooth, lightly creamy, and not too thick or too thin, so there was no tugging during application but the color didn't feel slippery while worn, which made them easier to apply straight from the tube and low-maintenance on the lips.
They tend to dry and wear down to a soft matte finish within one to three hours of wear, and while they are very lightweight on, they hug the lips more as they become more matte (compared to initial feel). The wear time has been between four and six hours for most shades, and most shades were non-drying to lightly hydrating. They were vanilla-scented but had no discernible taste.

Brick
ColourPop Brick Lux Lipstick ($7.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with strong, warm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was fantastic with rich, even color coverage in a single layer. The lipstick was creamy with moderate slip but didn’t feel slippery on my lips, and there was a hint of tackiness that kept it in place. It wore well for five and a half hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

I do love Brick, but of course, I would happen to have MAC Retro and KVD Cathedral Studded lipstick already! So there goes that. ?
Since MAC Yash is one of only a very few light nudes I can pull off using a darker liner (but just haven’t bought yet) , Butter is a *maybe*?
Brick is my favourite and it rates the absolute same as a PMG lippie. Needless to say, I have ordered it.
And I will on the next cp order. Bad words; it’s LE. I hauled a Stevie at TJX (TJ maxx and marshall’s are discount/remainder stores owned by the same parent co, right here in Massachusetts, Gen.) So, won’t be devastated, if I can’t get it, but no other dupes and my street, too.
I really, really like all three of the darker shades in this release, but I will successfully resist them because I have SO. MUCH. LIPSTICK.
Sorry about the yelling — I was trying to get my attention.
